What is happening?
TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF FOOTPATH
THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(KIRKBY IN ASHFIELD FOOTPATH NO.44, WARREN HOUSE LEVEL CROSSING) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order, under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be:-
No person shall: - Proceed on foot,
in the following length of Footpath at Kirkby in Ashfield in the District of Ashfield:-
Kirkby in Ashfield Footpath No.44 where it passes over
Warren House Level Crossing
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibition will apply as follows:-
From Wednesday 30th April at 23.30hrs until Thursday 1st May at 05.30hrs.
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction there is no direct alternative route.
The prohibition shall apply to enable works to be carried out and in respect of the likelihood of danger to the public and damage to the footpath. It may also apply on subsequent days when it shall be necessary. If the works are not completed within 6 months, the Order may be extended.
The prohibition is required to enable works to the railway trackbed and in respect of the likelihood of danger to the public and damage to the footpath.
THIS CLOSURE WILL ONLY TAKE EFFECT WHEN SIGNS INDICATING CLOSURE ARE DISPLAYED
THIS NOTICE IS DATED THIS 9TH DAY OF APRIL 2025.
