Kidd Lane - Temporary Traffic Regulation
What is happening?
THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH
TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
PART OF KIDD LANE, MELBOURNE
East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order the
effect of which is to prohibit any person from causing
any vehicle to proceed/from proceeding on foot/
whether on foot, pedal cycle or on horseback along
part of Kidd Lane, Melbourne starting approximately
280 metres south of the junction with Main Street
travelling southbound for a distance of approximately
950 metres commencing 24 April 2025 between
08.30 hours until 17.00 hours.
The reason for the closure is to enable the proposed
part of Kidd Lane, Melbourne tree felling/trimming and
vegitation cut back clearance from overhead high and
low voltage electricity supply works, to be carried out
and completed in a manner consistent with ensuring
the safety of the public. It is anticipated that the works
will be completed within nine hours.
The alternative route for traffic affected by the Order is
via Kidd Lane, Main Street, General Lane and Ash Lane,
Melbourne CP, Cottingwith CP, Wolds Weighton Ward.
The road will be closed to all through traffic but access
will be maintained for residents, emergency vehicles
and pedestrians. The Order will commence 24 April
2025 and continue in force for a period not exceeding
eighteen months or until the works which it is
proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever
is the earlier. Further information can be obtained from
