(Freckleton Street Wigan) (Temporary Closure) Order 2025
Notice of Proposals
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Assistant Director Infrastructure and Regulatory Services of the Wigan Borough Council in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and delegated to her by the said Council proposes to make the Wigan Borough (Freckleton Street Wigan) (Temporary Closure) Order 2025.
The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person from driving a vehicle or causing or permitting a vehicle to be driven in Freckleton Street Wigan from 23/06/2025 to 27/06/2025.
The alternative route for traffic is: Swinley Lane, Swinley Road and Wigan Lane. The Order is necessary to allow a new electric connection.
(Rectory Lane Standish) (Temporary Closure) Order 2025 Notice of Making
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Assistant Director Infrastructure and
Regulatory Services of Wigan Borough Council in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and delegated to her by the said Council has made the Wigan Borough (Rectory Lane Standish) (Temporary Closure) Order 2025 which will come into operation on 19/07/2025.
The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person from driving a vehicle or causing or permitting a vehicle to be driven in Rectory Lane Standish commencing on 19/07/2025 to 10/08/2025.
The alternative route for traffic is: Market Street, High Street, Wigan Road and Chorley Road.
The Order is necessary to allow an upgraded sewer connection for a new housing development.
(Cross Street Hindley) (Temporary Closure) Order 2025 Notice of Making
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Assistant Director Infrastructure and Regulatory Services of Wigan Borough Council in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and delegated to her by the said Council has made the Wigan Borough (Cross Street Hindley) (Temporary Closure) Order 2025.
The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person from driving a vehicle or causing or permitting a vehicle to be driven in Cross Street Hindley during the period of 09:30 and 15:30 commencing on 05/08/2025 for one day only.
The alternative route for traffic is: Wigan Road and Market Street.
The Order is necessary to allow the replacement of a frame and cover.
