What is happening?
OVINGTON – C134 Carbrooke Road from 330m west of its junction with 3R1145 Watton RB12 (Redhill Lane) for 50m westwards to facilitate meter exchange works between 08:00 and 18:00 on 8th April 2025 (may continue until the 20th May 2025). Alternative route is via: C134 Carbrooke Road/Ovington Road, 30033 Watton Green, 31832 Harvest Road, B1108 Norwich Road, A1075 Cadman Way/Dereham Road, C134 The Street and vice versa (Carbrooke, Watton, Ovington). The works promoter is Anglian Water.
QUIDENHAM – Station Road from 80m north of its junction with Wilby Road for 150m northwards to facilitate new connection works from 7th to 9th April 2025 (may continue until the 21st May 2025). Alternative route is via: Road from Snetterton to Old Buckenham, Stone Cross Interchange, A11, Harling Road, Heath Road, Eccles Road, Quidenham Road, Road from Kenninghall to Eccles (Quidenham, Snetterton, Harling). The works promoter is Anglian Water.
ROCKLAND ST. MARY WITH HELLINGTON – C375 Hellington Hill from its junction with U76415 Low Common for 60m southwards to facilitate installation of new fibre network works from 7th to 9th April 2025 (may continue until the 21st May 2025). Alternative route is via: Hellington Hill, Green Lane, Hall Road, Claxton Church Road, Church Lane, Claxton Corner, Lower Road, New Inn Hill, The Street, Rookery Hill, Run Lane (Claxton, Rockland St Mary, Hellington, Ashby St. Mary). The works promoter is CityFibre.
ROCKLAND ST. MARY WITH HELLINGTON – C375 Run Lane from its junction with U76415 Low Common for 70m northwards to facilitate installation works for new fibre network from 9th to 11th April 2025 (may continue until the 23rd May 2025). Alternative route is via: Run Lane, Rookery Hill, The Street, New Inn Hill, Lower Road, Claxton Corner, Church Lane, Claxton Church Road, Hall Road, Green Lane, Hellington Hill (Claxton, Rockland St. Mary, Hellington, Ashby St. Mary). ROYDON (DISS) – U76074 Bellrope Lane from its junction with U71077 Hose Avenue for 50m northwards and 100m southwards to facilitate installation works for new pole from 10th to 11th April 2025 (may continue until the 23rd May 2025). Alternative route is via: Bellrope Lane, Baynards Lane, Hall Lane, A1066 High Road. The works promoter is BT.
SAHAM TONEY – C125 Chequers Lane from 168m south of its junction with C121 Ploughboy Lane for 105m southwards to facilitate new connection works from 7th to 11th April 2025 (may continue until the 23rd May 2025). Alternative route is via: C125 Chequers Lane, C119 Pages Lane, C119A Pound Hill, C786 Richmond Road/Swaftham Road, B1108 Brandon Road, C121 Saham Road/Cley Lane/Chequers Lane (Watton, Saham Toney). SHIPDHAM – A1075 High Street from 46m north of its junction with U35254 Park Estate for 50m northwards to facilitate Anglian Water manhole repair works between 08:00 and 17:00 on 7th April 2025 (may continue until the 19th May 2025). STARTSON – C877 Harling Road/The Street is from its junction with U70181 Railway Hill to its junction with U70184 Weavers Croft to facilitate drainage and carriageway repairs from 7th to 10th April 2025 (may continue until the 22nd May 2025). The alternative route is via: The Street, Rushall Road, Railway Hill (Startson, Redenhall with Harleston). The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.
SURLINGHAM – C195 School Lane from its junction with U70821 The Green for 225m north–westwards to facilitate installation works for new fibre network from 7th to 11th April 2025 (may continue until the 23rd May 2025). Alternative route is via: Walnut Hill, Bramerton Road, Surlingham Road, The Street, Rockland Road, Bramerton Lane, Rookery Hill, Surlingham Lane, Mill Road (Surlingham, Rockland St. Mary, Bramerton). The works promoter is CityFibre.
TROWSE WITH NEWTON – 1) C190 White Horse Lane from its junction with C202 The Street to its junction with 7P440 Dell Loke and 2) C190 White Horse Lane from its junction with Stoke Road to its junction with 7P440 Dell Loke to facilitate construction works for new low-level footway:
will be temporarily closed and the road 2) shall be temporarily subject to the suspension of the existing bus lane restriction from 7th to 18th April 2025 (may continue until the 30th May 2025). Alternative route is via: The Street, A146 Martineau Lane, A146 Barrett Road, Mansfield Lane, Stoke Road (Trowse with Newton, Caister St. Edmund and Bixley). The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.
WYMONDHAM – U78488 Stanleys Lane from its junction with C594 Silfield Road for 50m westwards to facilitate works on subway project from 7th April to 30th May 2025 (may continue until the 30th November 2025). Alternative route is via: Stanleys Lane, Philip Ford Way, Silfield Road. The works promoter is Dyer & Butler Ltd.
WYMONDHAM – U73890 Rightup Lane from its junction with C594 Silfield Road for 90m eastwards to facilitate works on subway project from 7th April to 30th May 2025 (may continue until the 30th November 2025). Alternative route is via: Rightup Lane, Swallow Drive, Heron Rise, Silfield Road. The works promoter is Dyer & Butler Ltd.
YAXHAM – C200 Norwich Road from its junction with U35006 Paper Street for 160m eastwards to facilitate pole testing works between 09:30 and 15:00 on 7th April 2025 (may continue until the 19th May 2025). Alternative route is via: C200 Norwich Road/Yaxham Road/Dereham Road/Norwich Road/Mattishall Road, C167 Barnham Broom Road/Honingham Road/Bell Road/Rush Green/Barnham Broom Road/Dereham Road/Norwich Road/Low Street/The Lings/Dereham Road/Whinburgh Road (Hardingham, Garvestone, Reymerston and Thuxton, Yaxham, Whinburgh and Westfield, Barnham Broom, Brandon Parva, Coston, Runhall and Welborne, Kimberley, East Tuddenham, Mattishall). BURNHAM MARKET – Friars Lane from its junction with Overy Road for 15m northwards to facilitate assisting 3-way links for substation works from 9th to 11th April 2025 (may continue until the 21st May 2025). Alternative route is via: Overy Road, North Street, Bellamys Lane, Friars Lane (Burnham Norton, Burnham Market). The works promoter is: Norfolk County Council.
KING’S LYNN – Footpath Opposite Field Lane Primary School Leading To Barnwell Road from its junction with Barnwell Road to its junction with Field Lane to facilitate ducting works from 7th to 17th April 2025 (may continue until the 29th May 2025). Alternative route is via: Barnwell Road, Edinburgh Avenue, Balmoral Road, Footpath Opposite Field Lane Primary School Leading to Balmoral Road, Field Lane. The works promoter is Cadent Gas.
KING’S LYNN – C90 Path Between Tennyson Road and Railway Crossing from its junction with Rollesby Road to its junction with Bridge Way to facilitate replacement works for bridge joint between 07:30 and 16:00 on 7th April 2025 (may continue until the 21st May 2025). Alternative route is via: Rollesby Road, C94 Tennyson Road, Tennyson Road To Rollesby Road, C90 Path from Tennyson Road To Rollesby Road, C90 Path Between Tennyson Road, Tennyson Avenue, Cycle Path from Tennyson Avenue Railway Bridge to Bridge Way. OUTWELL – Creek Road from its junction with Chalk Road for 650m westwards to facilitate carriageway patching works from 9th to 10th April 2025 (may continue until 22nd May 2025). Alternative route is via: C101 Creek Road, Chalk Road, Church Drove, Church Terrace, Market Lane (Outwell, Nordelph, Upwell). The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.
RUNCTON HOLME – Runcton Road from 850m west of its junction with A134 for 50m westwards to facilitate meter exchange works on 7th April 2025 (may continue until 19th May 2025). Alternative route is via: Runcton Road, Lynn Road, Stoke Road (Walpington Wormegay Tottenhill Shouldham Thorpe Runcton Holme). The works promoter is Anglian Water.
SNETTISHAM – Fring Road from 200m east of its junction with Sedgeford Road for 100m eastwards to facilitate pole testing works between 09:30 and 15:30 on 8th April 2025 (may continue until 20th May 2025). Alternative route is via: Sedgeford Road, Bircham Road, Sherborne Road, Fring Road (Snettisham, Fring). The works promoter is Openreach.
SOUTH WOOTTON – Church Lane from its junction with The Meadows for 85m eastwards to facilitate new electrical connection works from 7th to 11th April 2025 (may continue until 23rd May 2025). Alternative route is via: Hall Lane, Low Road, Nursery Lane. The works promoter is UK Power Network.
SOUTH WOOTTON – Nursery Lane from 120m south of its junction with Ryalla Drift for 50m southwards to facilitate new water connection work from 7th to 9th April 2025 (may continue until 21st May 2025). Alternative route is via: Nursery Lane, All Saints Drive, Manor Road, Priory Lane, Woodland Gardens, Castle Rising Road, Low Road, Hall Lane, Church Lane (South Wootton, North Wootton).
N.B Diversion to be visibly symbolised due to another diversion for closure on Church Lane. The works promoter is Anglian Water.
TERRINGTON ST. CLEMENT – Northgate Way from its junction with Benns Lane for 180m eastwards to facilitate new connection works from 7th to 11th April 2025 (may continue until the 23rd May 2025). Alternative route is via: Northgate Way, Marsh Road, Lynn Road, Churchgate Way (Clenchwarton, Terrington St. Clement). The works is UK Power Network.
WALPOLE – 1) Market Lane from its junction with Station Road for 80m eastwards and 80m westwards and
2) Station Road from its junction with Market Lane for 80m northwards to facilitate drainage and footway works. The road 1) is closed from 7th to 13th April 2025 and 18th to 20th April 2025. The road 2) is closed from 7th to 28th April 2025 (may continue until the 28th October 2025). Alternative route is via: A17 Station Road, Market Lane, Police Road (Walpole, Terrington St Clements, Walpole Cross Keys). The works promoter is Tangent Group.

Unless otherwise stated, the effect of these Orders will be to prohibit the use by vehicles of the named road(s)/footpath(s). In the event the start date being delayed the new start date will be displayed on site in advance. The Order is for a reason other than its works it is because of the likelihood of danger to the public or of serious damage to the road/footpath. Anticipated dates are stated but the Orders may continue until the date and where necessary or required.
The Orders give the date on the date or on the actual removal of the prohibition/restriction and respect of weather, cycle path, bridleways, restricted byways, and byways open to all traffic (BOAT).
Penalty: £1000 maximum fine on conviction and/or endorsement for contravention.
