Temporary Closure 400123 Severn Street
(Newnham Parish) Forest Of Dean District
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 400123 Severn Street Road from its junction with the A48 to outside the property known as ‘No. 8’ for a distance of approximately 60 metres.
The reason for the said closure is for network upgrade works.
The said road is expected to be closed between 08:30hrs and 16:00hrs on 15th April 2025 only or until the works have been completed. For further information, please contact Gloucestershire Highways on 08000 514 514 or visit www.gloucestershire.gov.uk.

Temporary Closure C355 New Road
(Awre Parish) Forest Of Dean District
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the C355 New Road from outside the property known as ‘Chelsea House’ to outside the property known as ‘Tump House’ for a distance of approximately 950 metres.
The reason for the said closure is for works due to a defect in the carriageway. The said road is expected to be closed from 14th April 2025 until 16th April 2025 only or until the works have been completed. Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 400190 Bailey Lane Road from its junction with Hewelsfield and Brockweir Footpath 28 to its junction with Hewelsfield and Brockweir Footpath 29 for a distance of approximately 84 metres.
The reason for the said closure is for works to clear a blockage in the carriageway.

The reason for the said closure is for safety due to overhead works.

Temporary Closure Of Public Footpath Fly 42
(Lydney Town) Forest Of Dean District
NOTICE is hereby given that Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order to close temporarily under Sections 14, 15 and 16 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 (as amended) part of Public Footpath FLY 42 from its junction with Naas Lane in a generally south easterly direction for approximately 280 metres to a point 5 metres west of the Lydney Bypass.
The said public footpath falls within Lydney in Forest of Dean District, within the County of Gloucestershire.
The said closure is necessary to safeguard the public whilst construction works take place.
The said public footpath is expected to be closed between 20th April 2025 and 20th October 2025 where the presence of approved signage will indicate whether the closure is in force. Further advance warnings of dates/ times will be displayed on site 2 weeks prior to any closure taking effect.
Alternative Route – as signed on site. Emergency access and pedestrian access to adjoining properties will be maintained.

Temporary Closure 500051 Chicknalls Lane (Awre Parish) Forest Of Dean District

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 500051 Chicknalls Lane Road from its junction with the A48 to its junction with Cherry Grove for a distance of approximately 240 metres.

The reason for the said closure is for works by Gigaclear.

Alternative Route – no diversion is possible but access will be managed where possible. Emergency access will be maintained. Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 400097 Blakeney Hill Road outside the property known as ‘Myrtle Cottage’ for a distance of approximately 20 metres.
The reason for the said closure is for electricity service works by National Grid. The said road is expected to be closed from 28th April 2025 until 2nd May 2025 only or until the works have been completed.
