What is happening?

North Yorkshire Council, Temporary Prohibition Of Pedestrians, Public Footpath 20.62/5/3 St Martins, Order 2021 No 332

Notice is hereby given that the above Order, the effect of which is to prohibit any public access along Public Footpath 20.62/5/3, St Martins near Richmond between grid reference NZ16520038 & NZ16960054 to ensure public safety during emergency repair works has been continued in force for a further 6 months until 03/10/25 or until the completion of the works (whichever is the earlier), under Section 15(3) of the above Act with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport. We intend to make this Order to prohibit any vehicle from using Dale Farm Road, Worton; Park Lane, Middleham; St Cuthberts Avenue, Colburn; St Giles Close, Colburn; St Peter’s Close, Colburn; Bridge Close, Colburn; Sutton Avenue, Colburn; Coronation Avenue, Colburn; Colville Road, Colburn; Colville Crescent, Colburn; Forest Drive, Colburn; Green Howards Road, Richmond – Cul de sac; Green Howards Road, Richmond – Parking Area; West End Avenue, Richmond; Cedar Grove, Barton; St Cuthbert’s Green, Barton; East View, Barton; St James Close, Melsonby; St Johns Park, Aldbrough St John; The Green, Reeth & Village Streets North of Green, Reeth for a temporary period (subject to access to premises) between 01/05/25 & 31/07/25, due to Micro Asphalt works. However, the max duration of this Order is from 21/04/25 until 31/03/26. The closure period will be indicated by traffic signs & a local alternative route will be signed on site where appropriate. Temporary 30 MPH Speed Restriction, B6271 - West Of Scorton, Order 2025 No. 119

We intend to make this Order to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in excess of 30 mph along that part of the B6271 which extends from a point approximately 250 metres east of its junction with Back Lane westwards for an approximate distance of 950 metres for a temporary period between 22/04/25 & 30/04/25, due to Highway Maintenance works. However, the max duration of this Order is until 27/03/26. The restriction will be put into effect by notices & signs. Notice is hereby given that the above Order, the effect of which is to prohibit any public access along Public Footpaths 20.58/8/1 Scorton & 20.52/5/2 North Cowton, between grid references NZ27970319 & NZ26230156, due to a bridge requiring replacement, has been continued in force for a further 12 months until 04/04/26 or until the completion of the works (whichever is the earlier), under Section 15(3) of the above Act with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport.
