TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDERS 2025 (NORWICH)

Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984

Norfolk County Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, hereby give notice that:

i) THEY PROPOSE TO MAKE Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders in respect of the following roads:

ROSARY ROAD – from 2m south of its junction with Chalk Hill Road for 25m southwards to facilitate chamber repair works from 14th to 18th April 2025 (may continue until 28th May 2025). Alternative route is via: Southbound Diversion Rosary Road, Riverside Road, Thorpe Road. Northbound Diversion: Rosary Road, Thorpe Road, Carrow Road, Canary Way, Koblenz Avenue, Riverside Road. The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.

BLUEBELL ROAD – from its junction with Norwich Drive for 30m northwards to facilitate installation works to better facilitate 08:30 and 15:30 on 13th and 14th April 2025 (may continue until the 27th May 2025). Alternative route is via: Newmarket Road Slip, Newmarket Road, Mile End Road, Colman Road, Earlham Road, Bluebell Road. The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.

ii) THEY HAVE MADE Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders in respect of the following roads:

MOUNT PLEASANT – from 47m northwest of its junction with Newmarket Street for 10m north westwards to facilitate manhole repairs on 8th April 2025 (may continue until 20th May 2025). Alternative route is via: Mount Pleasant, Unthank Road, Mile End Road, Newmarket Road. The works promoter is Anglian Water.

ST. ANDREWS STREET – from its junction with Duke Street for 185m eastwards to facilitate replacement works for electrical link box between 08:00 and 17:00 from 5th to 6th April 2025 (may continue until the 18th May 2025). Alternative route is via: Duke Street, A147 St Crispins Road/Barack Street/Bishop Bridge Road/Riverside Road, Prince of Wales Road, Rose Lane, Market Avenue, Bank Plain. The works promoter is UK Power Networks.

Unless otherwise stated, the effect of these Orders will be to prohibit the use by vehicles of the named road(s)/footpath(s). In the event of the date being different to that described, it will be displayed on a board at the site. Where an Order is for a reason other than a blockage, this is because the likelihood of danger to the public or of serious damage to the road. Anticipated dates are estimates only but the Orders may continue until the end date where necessary or required. The roads are expected to be closed on the dates referred to above, but the prohibition/restriction where earlier without further notice. If necessary, the restrictions can have a maximum duration of 18 months or 6 months in respect of footpaths, cycle paths, bridleways, restricted byways, and byways open to all traffic (BOAT).

Penalty: £1000 maximum fine on conviction and/or endorsement for contravention.
