Drew Street, Brixham - Temporary Prohibition of Traffic For Defective Reinstatement Works

(Drew Street, Brixham) (Part) (Temporary Prohibition Of Use) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that Torbay Council intends to make the above Order under the provisions of Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect will be to prohibit vehicular traffic in part of Drew Street, near 93 to outside 105.
There will be exemptions from the intended Order for vehicles used in emergency for police, fire or ambulance purposes, or used in connection with the works mentioned below, and for the conveyance of persons, goods or merchandise to or from any premises situated on or adjacent to that length of Drew Street to or from any other premises accessible for vehicles from, and only from, that length of road.
The Order is intended to be made because repairs to defective reinstatement works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the above length of Drew Street.
The alternative route available for traffic which will be affected by the Order is via Horsepool Street, Greenover Road, Burton Street, Greenswood Road and vice versa.
The intended Order will come into force on the 15th May 2025 and will continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the above works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
It is anticipated that such works will take approximately one day to complete.
