Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
TONBRIDGE & MALLING AREA
227 Gravesend Road & A20 London Road, Wrotham, TN15 7PZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow new signage installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A227 Gravesend Road & A20 London Road, Wrotham, on or after 16th April 2025 for up to 21 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the A20 London Road Roundabout to the junction of Harvel Road, between the hours of 20:00 and 05:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A227 Gravesend Road, A227 Wrotham Road, B260 Longfield Road, B260 Main Road, B260 Green Street Green Road, A225 Princes Road, A225 Lowfield Street, A225 Hawley Road, A225 Main Road, A225 Dartford Road, A20 London Road, A20 Gorse Hill, A20 London Road and vice versa.
Birling Road, West Malling, ME19 5HT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow blockage clearance works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Birling Road, West Malling, on or after 16th April 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction of A20 London Road to Rock Cottage. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Birling Road, A228 Leybourne By Pass, A20 Ashton Way, A20 London Road and vice versa.
Discovery Drive, Kings Hill, ME19 4ND (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow frame and cover replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Discovery Drive, Kings Hill, on or after 16th April 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of Elstar Place and Rubin Place. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Discovery Drive, Fortune Way, Milton Lane, Alexander Grove and vice versa.
High Street, Snodland, ME6 5AZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow gas service disconnection to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of High Street, Snodland, on or after 16th April 2025 for up to 10 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between property numbers 61 and 69b. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any eastbound through traffic is via Queens Avenue, Queens Road, Waghorn Road.
The alternative route for any westbound through traffic is via Waghorn Road, Queens Road, Queens Avenue, Holborough Road, High Street.
High Street, Snodland ME6 5EB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow highway improvement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of High Street, Snodland, on or after 2nd May 2025 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from property number 1 to 30, between the hours of 17:00 on 2nd May 2025 to 05:00 on 5th May 2025. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Malling Road, St Katherines Lane, Birling Road, High Street and vice versa.
Long Mill Lane, Borough Green TN15 8QF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow water asset location works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Long Mill Lane, Borough Green, on or after 30th April 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Little Highlands. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Long Mill Lane, Grange Road, A25 Maidstone Road, Crouch Lane, Long Mill Lane and vice versa.
Mills Road, Aylesford ME20 7XB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow cabinet installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Mills Road, Aylesford, on or after 28th April 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the Mills Road Roundabout, between the hours of 21:00 and 05:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Mills Road, Lake Road, Wealden Way and vice versa.
Nizels Lane, Hildenborough TN11 8NW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow drainage improvement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Nizels Lane, Hildenborough, on or after 28th April 2025 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the junction of Bourne Place Meadows. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Nizels Lane, B245 London Road, Watts Cross Road, Rings Hill, Philpots Lane, Nizels Lane and vice versa.
Riding Lane, Hildenborough TN11 9QE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Riding Lane, Hildenborough, on or after 29th April 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Stone Cottages. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Riding Lane, Hildenborough Road, A227 Tonbridge Road, A227 Shipbourne Road, Dry Hill Park Road, B245 London Road, B245 Tonbridge Road, Riding Lane and vice versa.
St Leonards Street, West Malling, ME19 6PE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow new gas connection to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of St Leonards Street, West Malling, on or after 14th April 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from Malling Place to Five Bells. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via King Hill, A228 Ashton Way, A20 Ashton Way, A20 London Road, Town Hill, High Street, St. Leonards Street and vice versa.
The Heath, East Malling, ME19 6JN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow overhead cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of The Heath, East Malling, on or after 17th April 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from property number 183 to Heath Park, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via The Heath, Wateringbury Road, Chapel Street, High Street, Mill Street, Clare Lane, Broadwater Road, Pikey Lane and vice versa.
Wouldham Road, Rochester Road & High Street, Wouldham (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on Wouldham Road, Rochester Road & High Street, Wouldham, on or after 29th April 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The roads will be closed from Starkey Castle Lodge to the junction of School Lane, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Wouldham Road, Burham Road, Pilgrims Way, School Lane and vice versa.
