HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF BERRY LANE/STAG LANE, CHORLEYWOOD) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Berry Lane/Stag Lane, Chorleywood from its junction with Kings Farm Road south westwards for a distance of approximately 117m (“the length of Roads”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via Berry Lane, Common Gate Road, Chorleywood Bottom, Hubbards Road, Furze View, Rendlesham Way and Stag Lane.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the length of Roads.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 25 April 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the length of Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN B4542 PRESTWICK ROAD AND B4542 LITTLE OXHEY LANE, SOUTH OXHEY) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”) and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:–
That length of B4542 Prestwick Road, South Oxhey from its westernmost junction with Bowring Road south eastwards, north eastwards, north westwards, north eastwards and north westwards to its junction with Woodhall Lane, a distance of approximately 1513m.
An alternative route will be via B4542 (Prestwick Road/The Wood), A4125 (Sandy Lane/Hampermill Lane) and B4542 (Brookdene Avenue/Prestwick Road).
That length of B4542 Little Oxhey Lane, South Oxhey from its junction with B4542 Prestwick Road south eastwards to its junction with Ilkley Road, a distance of approximately 120m.
An alternative route will be via B4542 (Prestwick Road/The Wood), A4125 (Sandy Lane/Hampermill Lane/Eastbury Road), A411 Chalk Hill, A4008 (Aldenham Road/Pinner Road/Oxhey Lane) and B4542 Little Oxhey Lane or via B4542 Little Oxhey Lane, A4008 (Oxhey Lane/Pinner Road/Aldenham Road), A4125 (Eastbury Road/Hampermill Lane/Sandy Lane) and B4542 (The Wood/Prestwick Road).
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 21 April 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF HEMMING WAY, WATFORD) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Hemming Way, Watford from its junction with Clarke Way north westwards for a distance of approximately 30m (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via Clarke Way, Summerfield Road, Goodrich Close and Hemming Way.
The Order is needed because electrical connection works are proposed to be executed near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 22 April 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PENSCROFT GARDENS, BOREHAMWOOD) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Penscroft Gardens, Borehamwood from a point 30m south of its junction with Buckingham Road southwards for a distance of approximately 50m (“the Road”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via Penscroft Gardens, Buckingham Road, Norfolk Gardens and Penscroft Gardens.
The Order is needed because gas connection works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 22 April 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE CENTRAL RESERVATION GAP SITUATED ON A412 SCOTS HILL, CROXLEY GREEN) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the central reservation gap situated on A412 Scots Hill, Croxley Green from its junction with the eastbound carriageway of A412 Scots Hill south westwards to its junction with the westbound carriageway of A412 Scots Hill, a distance of approximately 15m (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via the eastbound carriageway of A412 Scots Hill and the westbound carriageway of A412 Scots Hill,
or via the westbound carriageway of A412 (Scots Hill/Park Road), the A412 Park Road/High Street roundabout and A412 (Park Road/Scots Hill).
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 21 April 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of King Edward Road, Watford from its junction with Field Road south eastwards for a distance of approximately 36m (“the Road”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via King Edward Road, A411 Chalk Hill, Haydon Road, Cross Road and King Edward Road.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 22 April 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT MEASURES ON VARIOUS ROADS AND CYCLE TRACK IN WATFORD, LEAVESDEN AND WOODSIDE) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect on the following length of cycle track (“the Cycle Track”) and roads (“the Roads”) will be:–
To prohibit all pedal cycles from using the cycle track situated on the north east, south east and north east sides of Aerodrome Way, Watford/Leavesden from its junction with Ashfields north westwards and north eastwards to its junction with Hill Farm Avenue, a distance of approximately 1325m.
Pedal Cyclists will need to dismount and use the adjacent footway.
To prohibit all vehicles from waiting, loading and unloading on the A41 eastbound slip road leading onto the A405 North Orbital Road, Woodside from its junction with the eastbound carriageway of A41 North Western Avenue north eastwards and south eastwards for a distance of approximately 691m, when signs are in place.
To prohibit all vehicles from waiting, loading and unloading on that length of A41 Gadeside, Leavesden/A41 North Western Avenue, Woodside from its junction with the Aerodrome Way/Dowding Way roundabout south westwards for a distance of approximately 689m, when signs are in place.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Cycle Track and Roads.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 14 April 2025 for a period of up to 6 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Cycle Track and Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE FOOTPATH SITUATED ON THE NORTH SIDE OF NO.75 DEVEREUX DRIVE, WATFORD) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedestrians from using the footpath situated on the north side of No.75 Devereux Drive, Watford from its junction with Devereux Drive south westwards for a distance of approximately 15m (“the Footpath”).
An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the west side of Devereux Drive, the footway situated on the west side of Harford Drive, the footway situated on the north side of Langley Way, the footway situated on the east side of Cassiobury Drive, Watford Borough Public Footpath No.072 and the footpath situated on the north side of No.75 Devereux Drive.
The Order is needed because utility service connection works are proposed to be executed on or near the Footpath.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 7 April 2025 for a period of up to 6 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Footpath.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Denham Way/Chalfont Road, Maple Cross from its junction with A412 Denham Way south westwards, westwards, north westwards, north eastwards, north westwards and south westwards for a distance of approximately 2559m (“the length of Roads”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via A412 Denham Way, Long Lane, Shire Lane, Chalfont Lane, Burtons Lane, A404 Chalfont Station Road, B4442 Cokes Lane/Nightingales Lane and Gorelands Lane.
(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN DENHAM WAY/CHALFONT ROAD, MAPLE CROSS) ORDER 2025
ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of Roads whilst works are in progress.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the length of Roads.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect on the following lengths of footway (“the Footways”) and road (“the Road”) will be:
To prohibit all pedestrians from using the following lengths of footway:
a) The footway situated on the north east side of A41 Hempstead Road, Hunton Bridge from its junction with Abbots Langley Public Bridleway No.040 south eastwards to its junction with the A41 North Western Avenue/the M25 (junction 19) roundabout, a distance of approximately 57m.
An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the west side of A41 Hempstead Road, the footpath situated beneath the A41 North Western Avenue/the M25 (junction 19) roundabout, the footway situated on the west and east sides of A411 Hempstead Road, the footway situated on the south side of A41 North Western Avenue, the footpath situated on the north west side of North Western Avenue, the footway situated on the west side of North Western Avenue, the footway situated on the west side of Ashfields, the footway situated on the south side of Poundfield, the footway situated on the north side of Ashfield and the footway situated on the north side of A41 North Western Avenue.
b) The footway situated on the north east side of the A41 North Western Avenue/the M25 (junction 19) roundabout, Abbots Langley from its junction with A41 Hempstead Road south eastwards to its junction with A41 North Western Avenue, a distance of approximately 100m.

The A41 eastbound slip road leading onto the A41 Otterspool Way/the M1 (junction 5) roundabout, Watford from its junction with A41 North Western Avenue Colne Way south eastwards and north eastwards to its junction with the A41 Otterspool Way/the M1 (junction 5) roundabout, a distance of approximately 426m.
An alternative route will be via A41 Otterspool Way, the A41 Otterspool Way/B462 Hartspring Lane roundabout, A41 North Western Avenue and the A41 Otterspool Way/the M1 (junction 5) roundabout.
The southbound carriageway of A41 North Western Avenue, Woodside/A41 (North Western Avenue Colne Way/Otterspool Way), Watford from its junction with A41 The Dome roundabout south eastwards to its junction with the southbound slip road leading from the A41 Otterspool Way/the M1 (junction 5) roundabout, a distance of approximately 2392m.
An alternative route will be via A412 St Albans Road, A411 Beechen Grove, A4008 Stephenson Way, the A41 Otterspool Way/the M1 (junction 5) roundabout and the southbound slip road leading from the A41 Otterspool Way/the M1 (junction 5) roundabout.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

That length of Bushey Hall Road, Bushey from its junction with Bendysh Road north westwards and south westwards for a distance of approximately 160m.

That length of Bushey Grove Road, Bushey from its junction with Bushey Hall Road south eastwards for a distance of approximately 25m.
An alternative route will be via Bushey Hall Road, B462 Aldenham Road and Bushey Grove Road.
That length of Greatham Road, Bushey from its junction with Bushey Hall Road north westwards for a distance of approximately 25m.
An alternative route will be via Bushey Hall Road, B462 Aldenham Road, A411 Chalk Hill, A4008 (Aldenham Road/Pinner Road), A411 (Lower High Street/Dalton Way/Waterfields Way), A4008 Stephenson Way, Colonial Way, Radlett Road, Link Road, Park Avenue and Greatham Road or via Greatham Road, Park Avenue, Link Road, Radlett Road, Colonial Way, A4008 Stephenson Way, A411 Beechen Grove, Water Lane and Bushey Hall Road.
The Order is needed because the replacement of an existing gas main is proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

THE HERTFORDSHIRE (VARIOUS ROADS, WATFORD) (20 MPH ZONE) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (1984 Act) to introduce a new 20 mph zone in parts of Watford as specified in the Schedule to this Notice. The Order will come into effect on Monday 30 June 2025.
