Pool Valley, Temporary Road Closure & Suspension Of One-Way Order Due To Demolition Works

BRIGHTON AND HOVE CITY COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ORDER - POOL VALLEY, BRIGHTON

1. NOTICE is hereby given that Brighton & Hove City Council have on the 26 March 2025 made an Order pursuant to powers in Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended which has the following effect:-

(a) The temporary closure of Pool Valley at its junction with Grand Junction Road.

(b) To maintain access during this closure it will be necessary to suspend the One-Way Order on Pool Valley from the junction at Grand Junction Road to its junction with Old Steine.

2. The Order is necessary to allow the demolition of the fire damaged Royal Albion Hotel.

Pedestrian access will be maintained.

3. This Order comes into force on 31 March 2025 for eighteen months or until such sooner time as the works are completed.
