The Isle of Wight Council's Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders
Notice is hereby given that the Isle of Wight Council in not less than seven days from the appearance of this Notice, under Section 14 (1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, proposes to make the following Orders:
The Isle of Wight Council (Sandown Road, Bembridge, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 2 2025
Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one shift, between Monday 14 April 2025, and Wednesday 17 April 2025, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Sandown Road, Bembridge, between its junctions with Culver Down Road and its junction with Bembridge Airport. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during carriageway repair work.
The Isle of Wight Council (Highwood Lane, Rookley, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 1 2025
Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that for five shifts, between Monday 14 April 2025 and Thursday 18 April 2025, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Highwood Lane, Rookley, between its junctions with Sandy Lane and its junction with Blackwater Hollow. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during Kerbing works.
The Isle of Wight Council (Main Road, Chillerton, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 1 2025
Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that for five shifts, between Monday 14 April 2025, and Thursday 18 April 2025, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Main Road, Chillerton, between its junctions with Gatcombe Bridgeway 6 and its junction with Berry Shute. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during lining work.
The Isle of Wight Council (Billingham Shute, Shorwell, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 1 2025
Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that for five shifts, between Monday 14 April 2025, and Thursday 18 April 2025, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Billingham Shute, Shorwell, between its junctions with Berry Lane and its junction with Kennel Lane. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during lining work.
The Isle of Wight Council (New Road, Gatcombe, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 1 2025
Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that for five shifts, between Monday 14 April 2025, and Thursday 18 April 2025, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along New Road, Gatcombe, between its junctions with Gatcombe Road and its junction with Highwood Lane. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during lining work.
The Isle of Wight Council (Steyne Road, Bembridge, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 1 2025
Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one shift, between Monday 14 April 2025, and Wednesday 16 April 2025, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along steyne Road, Bembridge, between its junctions with Winders Gardens and its junction with Turnstone Drive. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during drainage works.
The Isle of Wight Council (East Ashey Lane, Brading, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 2 2025
Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one shift, between Monday 14 April 2025, and Wednesday 16 April 2025, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along East Ashey Lane, Brading, between its junctions with Ryde Footpath 40 and its junction with Brading Footpath 25. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during Carriageway repairs.
The Isle of Wight Council (Atherfield Road, Shorwell, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 3 2025
Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one shift, between Tuesday 15 April 2025, and Thursday 17 April 2025, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Atherfield Road, Shorwell, between its junctions with Hills Lane and its junction with Pyle Shute. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during Kerbing works.

The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during Kerbing works.
The Isle of Wight Council (Main Road, Brighstone, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 3 2025
Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one shift, between 0900 and 1530 hrs on Monday 21 April 2025, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Main Road, Brighstone between its junction with Casses Close and its junction with Moor Lane, Brighstone. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The restriction is required for Cycletour event.
The Isle of Wight Council (George Street, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Revocation of One-Way) Order No 1 2025
Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that between 0900 and 1600 hours on Sunday 21 April 2025, or when the works have been completed, George Street will be closed between its junctions with Melville Street and Castle Street. The One-Way restriction along George Street will be revoked for its entire length. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The restriction is required for street works.
The Isle of Wight Council (Granville Road Bridge, Cowes, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 1 2025
Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0900 hours on Wednesday 16 April 2025 until 1500 hours on Friday 18 April 2025, or when the works have been completed, Granville Road Bridge will be closed for its entire length. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The restriction is required for utility works.
The Isle of Wight Council (Park Road, Wootton, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 1 2025
Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0800 hours on Monday 14 April 2025 until 1700 hours on Friday 3 May 2025, or when the works have been completed, Park Road will be closed between its junctions with Station Road and Cycle Track from Newport to Wootton. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The restriction is required for utility works.
Notice is hereby given that the following Orders have been made under Section 14 (1) (a & b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
The Isle of Wight Council (Various Streets, Ventnor) (Temporary Road Closure and Revocation of One-Way) Notice No 2 2025
Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 1000 hours on Thursday, 27 March 2025 until 1600 hours on Friday, 27 June 2025, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along:
a) Road Closure – Belgrave Road Ventnor, between its junction with Alpine Road for a distance of 43 metres
b) Road Closure – Esplanade Road Ventnor, Between its junction with Marine Parade for a distance of 53m northwest thereof, and
c) Temporary Revocation of the One-Way – Belgrave Road Ventnor from its junction with Bath Road for a distance of 236m in an easterly direction.
The diversion routes will be signposted locally. The closure is required until the carriageway is deemed safe for motoring traffic.
Notice is hereby given that the following Orders have been made under Section 14 (1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
The Isle of Wight Council (Medina Way, Newport, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 2 2025
Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one shift, between Tuesday 08 April 2025, and Thursday 10 April 2025, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Medina Way, Newport, Coming from the B&Q roundabout end of the dual carriageway, from its junctions with Dodnor Lane for a distance of 300 metres in a southerly direction. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during Barrier Repairs.
The Isle of Wight Council (Pondcast Lane, Havenstreet, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 1 2025
Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0800 hours on Monday 7 April 2025 until 1600 hours on Friday 11 April 2025, or when the works has been completed, Pondcast Lane will be closed between its junctions with Church Road and Ryde Footpath 10. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The restriction is required for utility works.
The Isle of Wight Council (Weeks Road, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 1 2025
Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0900 hours on Monday 7 April 2025 until 1700 hours on Friday 11 April 2025, or when the works have been completed, Weeks Road will be closed between its junction with Millward Place and Longmead Road. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The restriction is required for utility works.
The Isle of Wight Council (Ashey Road, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 1 2025

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 1900 hours on Tuesday 8 April 2025 until 0630 hours on Wednesday 9 April 2025, or when the works has been completed, Ward Avenue will be closed between its junctions with Park Road and Crossfield Avenue.
