WANDSWORTH BOROUGH COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14

TEMPORARY CLOSURE – MAGDALEN ROAD SW18

  1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Wandsworth has made an order to restrict vehicular movement in Magdalen Road to facilitate a Bridge inspection by Network Rail.

  2. Whilst the said works are taking place, no vehicle shall enter, proceed or wait along Magdalen Road from the junction of Garratt Lane to outside 278/282. There will be no waiting 22:00 - 05:00.

  3. Whilst the order remains in force the alternative route for traffic affected by the closure will be appropriately signed.

  4. Further information may be obtained from the Council’s Network Management section – telephone number (020) 8871 6904.

  5. The order will come into operation on 7 April 2025 and will remain in place until the works are complete. The order will remain in place for no longer than 18 months, although the works are expected to be complete by 9 April 2025.

The Wandsworth (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (Special Parking Areas) (Amendment No. 663) Order 2025

  1. FURTHER NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, in pursuance of Section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that the Council of the London Borough of Wandsworth made the above-mentioned Order on 2 April 2025 to introduce various lengths of waiting and loading restrictions, operating at any time, in Garratt Lane in the vicinity of the junction with St John’s Drive between the two new pedestrian crossings

  2. Copies of documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order, which come into operation on 7 April 2025 are available for inspection during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays at The Customer Centre, The Town Hall, Wandsworth High Street, London, SW18 2PU. The documents will remain available until the end of six weeks from the date on which the Order was made.

  3. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained in them on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements of that Act or of any relevant regulations made under that Act have not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks from the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
