What is happening?

THE CITY OF EDINBURGH COUNCIL

(TRAFFIC REGULATION: RESTRICTIONS ON WAITING, LOADING AND UNLOADING, STOPPING AND PARKING PLACES) (VARIATION NO. _) ORDER 202_- TRO/24/24

The Council proposes to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended to:

  1. Replace daytime waiting restrictions with waiting restrictions that operate 24-hours of each day on Rothesay Mews, Rothesay Ter, Broughton Market, Barony St, Northumberland St SW La, Viewforth Gdns, Newbattle Ter, Woodcroft Rd, Eden Ter;
  2. Replace a 24-hour waiting restriction with two shared use bays, operating 8.30am-5.30pm Mon-Fri, on the Shore.
  3. Replace a car club bay by extending an existing shared use bay, operating 8.30am-5.30pm Mon-Fri, on Montgomery St;
  4. Replace a section of city car club bay with a shared use bay, operating 8.30am-5.30pm Mon-Fri, on Cornwallis Pl;
  5. Replace a section of 24-hour waiting restriction with two disabled person’s parking places, operating 24-hours of each day, on South College St;
  6. Replace a section of permit bay by extending a 24-hour waiting restriction on Warriston Cres;
  7. Replace a 24-hour waiting restriction with a paid bay, operating 8.30am-5.30pm Mon-Fri, on Viewforth;
  8. Replace a section of permit bay, by extending a waiting restriction, operating 8.30am-5.30pm Mon-Fri, on Ogilvie Ter, Cumberland St NE La and Warriston Dr;
  9. Introduce a permit bay, operating 8.30am-5.30pm Mon-Fri, on Eden Ter and
  10. Replace a section of daytime waiting restriction with a permit bay, operating 8.30am-5.30pm Mon-Fri, on Warriston Dr.

Details of the draft Order and related documents, including our privacy notice, can be viewed online at streets.appyway.com/edinburgh-city, from 04/04/2025 to 29/04/2025 by following the link to “Proposals in consultation” under reference TRO/24/24 or at www.tellmescotland.gov.uk. Documents can also be viewed at Waverley Court Reception, 4 East Market St, Edinburgh, EH8 8BG between 9:30am & 3:30pm Mon-Fri during the same period. Objectors must complete the form found via the “Proposals in consultation” link referred to above, or state their reasons in writing quoting reference TRO/24/24 to Traffic Orders at the above address, not later than 29/04/2025. Objections should state the name and address of the objector. If you are responding to this consultation and your comments or objection relate to any specific location/s or element/s of the proposal, it would be helpful if you could identify them in your submission.
