ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14 - KIRKLEES COUNCIL

(CHURCH LANE, KIRKHEATON, HUDDERSFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Church Lane, Kirkheaton, Huddersfield from its junction with School Lane to a point outside the Baptist Church and The Beaumont Arms Public House PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via:

Westbound - School Lane, Albany Road, Waterloo Road, Wakefield Road, Chimney Lane, Highfield Lane, Lascelles Hall Road and vice versa.

Eastbound Lane Side Lane, Gawthorpe Lane, Highfield Lane, Lascelles Hall Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Tuesday 22 April 2025 08:30 and remain in force until 23 April 2025 17:00 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(LINGARDS ROAD, SLAITHWAITE, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Lingards Road, Slaithwaite from a point outside property no. 68 Lingards Road to a point outside site entrance on Lingards Road PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Lingards Road, Manchester Road, Varley Road, Chain Road, Lingards Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Tuesday 22 April 2025 and remain in force until 28 April 2025 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(GREAT NORTHERN STREET, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Great Northern Street, Huddersfield from its junction with Hillhouse Lane to its junction with Myrtle Lane PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Great Northern Street, Lower Fitzwilliam Street, Leeds Road, Hillhouse Lane and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Tuesday 22 April 2025 and remain in force until 20 May 2025, working hours to be between 19:00 to 5:00 nightly (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(ACCESS BETWEEN BRADFORD ROAD AND LOWER VIADUCT STREET, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Access Between Bradford Road And Lower Viaduct Street, Huddersfield from its junction with Bradford Road to its junction with Lower Viaduct Street PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Northgate, Lower Fitzwilliam Street, Great Northern Street, Myrtle Street, Lower Viaduct Street and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Tuesday 22 April 2025 and remain in force until 20 May 2025 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(VARIOUS PUBLIC FOOTPATHS IN CLAYTON FIELDS, EDGERTON, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the footpath have made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall proceed in the following lengths of public footpaths off Clayton Fields, Queens Road, Deveron Grove and Edgerton Road, Edgerton, Huddersfield being namely:-

HUD/477/10, HUD477/20, HUD 477/30,
HUD/477/40, HUD/477/50, HUD/482/10,
HUD/480/10, HUD/478/10, HUD/478/20,
HUD/478/30, HUD/478/40, HUD/479/10,
HUD/481/10, HUD/481/20, HUD/482/10

PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to persons carrying out the proposed works.

Alternative routes for persons affected by the closure will be available via Footpath HUD/345/10, Footpath HUD/345/20, Footpath HUD/455/10, Clayton Fields, Birkby Lodge Road, Blacker Road, Murray Road, Deveron Grove, Queens Road, Edgerton Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday 7 April 2025 and remain in force for until 6 October 2025 (Any extension will require the permission of the Secretary of State).

(ROTCHER LANE, SLAITHWAITE, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) (NO 3) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Rotcher Lane, Slaithwaite, from junction its junction with Blakestones Road for approximately 30 metres East along Rotcher PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Rotcher Lane, Howgate Road, Holme Lane, Blakestones Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday 7 April 2025 and remain in force for approximately one day (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(HOLLIN BRIGG LANE, HOLMBRIDGE, HOLMFIRTH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Hollin Brigg Lane, Holmbridge from its junction with Water Side Lane to its junction with Acre Lane PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Dobb Lane, Ford Gate, Woodhead Road, Huddersfield Road, Victoria Street, Rotcher Road, Cemetery Road, Brow Lane, Royd Lane, Acre Lane and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday 7 April 2025 and remain in force for until 21 April 2025 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(TOWN END/CHURCH STREET/ KNOWL ROAD/SCAR LANE GOLCAR, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Town End/Church Street/Knowl Road/ Scar Lane Golcar from its junction with Leymoor Road to its junction with Market Street, Milnsbridge PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via allow Lane, Pike Law Road, Slaithwaite Gate, Clough Road, Radcliffe Road, Carr Lane, Britannia Road, Back O’ Dam, Manchester Road, Morley Lane, Market Street, Yates Lane and vice versa.

(BRADLEY MILLS ROAD, RAWTHORPE, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed from junction of Kilner Bank to junction with Brown Royd Avenue PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Bradley Mills Road, Leeds Road, Southgate, Wakefield Road, Broad Lane, Long Lane, Ridgeway, Rawthorpe Lane, Bradley Mills Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday 7 April 2025 and remain in force until 12 April 2025 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(LUMB LANE/CASTLE HILL SIDE, ALMONDBURY, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Lumb Lane/Castle Hill Side, Almondbury, from its junction with Sharp Lane to its junction with Ashes Lane PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Sharp Lane, Bankfoot Road, Woodsome Road, Honley Road, Hey Lane, Park Lane, Ashes Lane and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday 7 April 2025 and remain in force until 18 April 2025 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(HEYS LANE, SLAITHWAITE, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Heys Lane, Slaithwaite, Huddersfield from approximately 65 metres South East from Willberlee Infant & Junior School to a point approximately 100 metres North West above junction of Clough House Lane PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Heys Lane, Longlands Road, Royd Street, Hill Top Road, Crimble Bank, Clough Road, Crimble Clough Road, Waller Clough Road, Quebec Road, New Hey Road, Pole Gate, Moor Side Lane, Heys Lane and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Tuesday 8 April 2025 and remain in force for approximately one day (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(MIRY LANE, THONGSBRIDGE, HOLMFIRTH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) (NO 2) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Miry Lane, Thongsbridge, from a point outside property no. 10 Miry Lane to a point outside Donaldsons Vets, Miry Lane PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Miry Lane, Huddersfield Road, Victoria Street, Town Gate, Station Road, New Mill Road, Springwood Road, Miry Lane and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Tuesday 8 April 2025 19.00 hours and remain in force until 9 April 2025 06.00 hours (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(ELLISON STREET, CROSLAND MOOR, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Ellison Street, Crosland Moor, from a point outside property no. 5 Ellison Street to a point outside property no.7 Ellison Street PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Ellison Street, De Trafford Street, Basil Street, Everard Street, Ellison Street and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Thursday 10 April 2025 and remain in force until 11 April 2025 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(HOLT HEAD ROAD, SLAITHWAITE, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY REDUCTION OF SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed at a speed in excess of 40 mph in that length of Holt Head Road, Slaihwaite from its junction with Jerusalem Road to its junction with Bethany Farm junction PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

No diversion required.

It is intended that the temporary speed reduction to 40mph will commence on Monday 7 April 2025 and remain in force for approximately one day (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(HAMPSHIRE STREET, MOLDGREEN, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Hampshire Street, Moldgreen, at a point outside property no. 6 Hampshire Street PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Hampshire Street, Highroyd Lane, Church Street, Church Lane, Hampshire Street and vice versa.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Bankhouse Road, Milnsbridge, from its junction with Lowergate to its junction with Armitage Road PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Lower Gate, Market Street, George Street, Bankhouse Lane anticlockwise only. Clockwise will allow traffic on Armitage Road onto Market Street.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Thursday 10 April 2025 and remain in force until 12 April 2025. Working times between 20:00 to 06.00 nightly (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(STORTHS ROAD, BIRKBY, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Storths Road, Birkby, from a point outside property no. 31 Storths Road to a point outside property no. 30 Storths Road PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Storths Road, Grimscar Avenue, Lynndale Avenue, Storthes Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Thursday 10 April 2025 and remain in force until 11 April 2025 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(CROW LANE, MILNSBRIDGE, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Crow Lane, Milnsbridge from its junction with Saville Street, for approximately 100 metres North West past the viaduct PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Savile Street, Market Street, Dale Street, Royd Street, Crow Lane - anticlockwise only from Savile Road.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Thursday 10 April 2025 and remain in force for until 12 April 2025 although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(GYNN LANE, HONLEY, HOLMFIRTH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Gynn Lane, Honley from its junction with A616 New Mill Road to a point approximately 30 metres northeast along Gynn Lane PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Altherative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via New Mill Road, Station Road, Northgate, Honley Road, Butts Road, Thurstonland Road, Brockholes Road, Brockholes Lane and vice versa. Unaffected part of Gynn Lane and Hall Ing Road will be access only for residents.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday 21 April 2025 and remain in force until 27 June 2025 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
