Walesby Lane - Temporary Prohibition of Driving For Resurfacing Works
What is happening?
THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(WALESBY LANE, NEW OLLERTON)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2025 (N25-098)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council has made an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at New Ollerton in the District of Newark and Sherwood
The effects of the Order will be:
1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road
a. Walesby Lane, New Ollerton - From its junction with Forest View to its junction with Lime Tree Road.
2. Vehicles are prohibited from Waiting, Loading and Unloading (both sides) (at all times) in the following length of road
a. Walesby Lane, New Ollerton - From its junction with Forest View to its junction with Lime Tree Road.
3. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.
4. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows: From 07:30 hours until 17:30 hours only From Monday 7th April until Friday 18th April 2025 inclusive.
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be: a. Walesby Lane - A6075 Forest Road - Whinney Lane - Walesby Lane and vice versa
The Order will come into force on 7th April 2025 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out.
The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).
The prohibition is required to enable Via East Midlands on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council to carry out resurfacing works;
