Richards Castle, Temporary Road Closure Due To Installation Works

NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, have, under its relevant powers, made the following Order: U92625, Castle Road, Richards Castle, Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the U92625, Castle Road, Richards Castle, from the junction with Woodhouse Lane to the junction with theB4361. Grid Ref: 349030 / 269966.

The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via Woodhouse Lane over the county boundary to Shropshire onto the B4361 and vice versa.

The said closure is required due to fibre road crossing and chamber installation works and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 15th of April 2025 and remain in Force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 9 days.
