Various Locations, Daybrook And Woodthorpe - Temporary Prohibition of Driving For Gas Mains Replacement Works

(Various Locations, Daybrook And Woodthorpe) (Temporary Prohibition Of Driving) Order 2025 (G25-042)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council has made an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Woodthorpe and Daybrook in the Borough of Gedling.
The effects of the Order will be:
1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road
a. Thackeray's Lane, Daybrook - From its junction with A60 Mansfield Road in a south easterly direction for 70 metres
b. A60 Mansfield Road, Woodthorpe (southbound only) - From a point 50 metres from its junction with Thackeray's Lane in a southerly direction for 220 metres
2. No person shall cause any vehicle/pedal cycle to proceed as specified below:
a. No right turn from Valley Road on to A60 Mansfield Road
3. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.
4. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows: From 06:00 hours Monday 7th April 2025 Until 18:00 hours Monday 16th June 2025 inclusive.
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be:
Thackeray's Lane Diversion Route - Thackeray's Lane - A6211 - Arno Vale Road -Gedling Road - B684 Mapperley Plains - Woodborough Lane - Lime Lane - A614 Ollerton Road - A60 Leapool Roundabout - A60 Mansfield Road and vice versa
A60 Mansfield Road (Southbound traffic) - Valley Road - Hucknall Road - Mansfield Road
Right turners from Valley Road - Mansfield Road - Thackeray's Lane - Thackeray's Lane - Arno Vale Road - Arno Vale Road - Gedling Road - Plains Road - Woodborough Road - Woodborough Road - Huntingdon Street - Mansfield Road
The Order will come into force on 7th April 2025 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out.
The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).
The prohibition is required to enable Cadent Gas to carry out gas mains replacement works.
