RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2025
Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 (1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, that the Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily restrict traffic on Restricted Byway 46 Winsford (part) from a point at OSGR SJ 6563 6526 running in a southerly direction for approximately 62 metres to a point at OSGR SJ 6566 6521, whilst works on or adjacent to the restricted byway are undertaken, due to a landslide and the likelihood of danger to the public.
The closure is necessary for works to take place to repair the structural integratory of the Restricted Byway because of a landslide. The Order came into force on 24 March 2025 and will continue in force for a period of six months or until the works are complete, which should be by 18 April 2025.
There is no alternative route available.
This order does not prevent any traffic with access to premises situated on or adjacent to the restricted byway only accessible from the restricted byway or by any emergency vehicle.
