ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Oxford, St Andrews Road, Headington

Prohibition of Through Traffic

Date of Order: 14 April 2025

Coming into force: 21 April 2025

This Order is being introduced because of a water mains reinforcement and connection works which are anticipated to be completed 16 May 2025. This is a 24 hour per day closure for motorised vehicles. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in sections of St Andrews Road between its junctions with St Annes Road, works to be undertaken in three phases (sections of road).

Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. The alternative routes for traffic will be signed via local streets.

This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T1523/24/AC)

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Marston, Raymond Road

Prohibition of Through Traffic and Waiting

Date of Order: 31 March 2025

Coming into force: 7 April 2025

This Order is being introduced because of footway resurfacing and kerbing, which are anticipated to be complete 25 April 2025. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding or waiting in Raymond Road between Cavendish Drive and the end. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.

Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. Access will be maintained for cyclists and pedestrians. The alternative route for traffic is via Cavendish Drive, Arlington Drive and vice versa. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T1531/24/AC)

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Oxford, Between Towns Road & St Lukes Road

Temporary Prohibition of Waiting

Date of Order: 26 March 2025

Coming into force: 20 April 2025

This Order is being introduced to allow construction access which is anticipated to be completed 30 June 2025. This is a 24 hour prohibition.

The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit waiting on Nos. 7 to 117 178 to 191 Between Towns Road, and both sides of St Lukes Road. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the prohibition is in force.

Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road.

This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner.

The relevant parts of the Oxfordshire County Council (Oxford, Cowley Central Controlled Parking Zone) (Waiting and Permitted Parking Places and Hackney Carriage Stands) Order 2021 (as amended) will be temporarily suspended for the duration of the works in respect of permitted parking. Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Blackbird Leys, Grenoble Road

Prohibition of Waiting and Loading

Date of Order: 14 April 2025

Coming into force: 21 April 2025

This Order is introduced because of installation of approx. 2394 meters of ducting for fibre cables as part of network reinforcement works which are anticipated to be completed 22 June 2025. This is a 24 hour prohibition.

The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit parking and suspended parking bays and loading on Grenoble Road between Nightingale Avenue and B480.

Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the prohibition is in force.

The prohibition is time limited. Exemptions are included for police, fire and ambulance services and for the works.

The relevant parts of the Oxfordshire County Council (Oxford Area – Various Streets) (Waiting and Loading and Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order 2022 (as amended through the Oxfordshire County Council (Various Roads – Oxford) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting and Loading and Permitted Parking) Order 2022 as amended) will be temporarily suspended for the duration of the works.

This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T1564/24/AC)

Notice of Street Temporary Traffic Order

Oxford, High Street – Temporary Loading Bay

Date of Order: 1 April 2025

Coming into force: 1 May 2025

This Order is being introduced to facilitate construction deliveries to accommodate roof replacement works. The anticipated completion date is January 2026. A scaffold tunnel must be erected to protect pedestrians – the existing suspended pedestrian bays in the area are to be suspended.

The effect of the Order is to temporarily suspend loading at this location and prohibit waiting.

Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.

Exemptions are included for police, fire and ambulance and emergency service vehicles that are for the purpose of the works.

This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner.

The relevant parts of the Oxfordshire County Council (Central Oxford) (Controlled Parking Zone and Waiting Restrictions) Order 2011 (as amended) will be temporarily suspended for the duration of the works. (Ref: T1529/24/AC)
