Hull Road, Preston - Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic
What is happening?
THE EAST RIDING OFYORKSHIRE COUNCIL A1033 SALTEND EXITAND ENTRY SLIP ROADS -WESTBOUND (HULL ROAD, PRESTON AND HULL ROAD, SALTEND PARTS) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any person from causing any vehicle to proceed along:
• Hull Road, Preston -A1033 Saltend exit slip road westbound (between where it meets the A1033 and Saltend Roundabout, Saltend)
• Hull Road, Saltend -A1033 Saltend entry slip road westbound (between Saltend Roundabout, Saltend and where it meets the A1033)
Commencing 9 April 2025 to allow maintenance works to be carried out by Amey. The road closures are necessary to enable the works to be carried out in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public.
The Order is valid for 18 months, but it is anticipated that the works (which will be carried out between 20.00 hours and 06.00 hours) will be completed by 30 September 2025.
The alternative route for traffic heading west/southwest/ southeastwards from Hedon to Paull/Saltend will be via: Hull Road, Saltend flyover (A1033) and Hull Road, Saltend (A1033) Hedon Road, Somerden Roundabout and Hedon Road, Hull (A 1033), Hull Road, Saltend (A 1033), Hull Road, Saltend (A 1033 Saltend exit slip road eastbound) Saltend Roundabout, Saltend. The alternative route for traffic heading northeast/northwest/ westwards from Saltend/Paull to Hull will be via: Saltend Roundabout, Saltend, Hull Road, Preston (A1033 Saltend entry slip road eastbound), Hull Road, Preston (A1033), Hull Road Roundabout, Hedon (Al 033), Hull Road, Preston (A1033) and Hull Road, Saltend flyover (Al 033).
The diversion routes will be signed at the time of closure. The roads will be closed to all traffic including emergency services.
