Wiltshire - Multiple Traffic Notices, Temporary Road Closures

SECTION 16(A) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily to all traffic: A) C56 (Part) Phillips Lane, Salisbury; from its junction with A345 in a westerly direction. B) C294 (Part) High Post C56, Durnford; to the junction to C42 Woodford Bridge. C) C57 (Part) Camp Hill, Woodford; from its junction with A360 to its junction with C42.D) C283 (Part) Church Bottom, Woodford; from its junction with A360 to its junction with C42. E) C42 (Part), Woodford–South bound only; from its junction with Woodford Bridge. F) C56 (Part) Phillips Lane, Salisbury–North bound only; from its junction with Stratford Bridge/Stratford Road to enable City of Salisbury Athletics and Running Club to carry out a road Running Race.

The closure will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. This Order will come into operation on 06 April 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 10:00 and 12:00 (noon) for one day. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely. SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make an Order to close temporarily to all users: Restricted Byway 22 (Part), Tilshead; from its junction with A360 for a distance of approximately 175m in a north easterly direction to enable sewer relining and manhole repair to prevent infiltration. Alternative route via Restricted Byway 22, Tilshead (unaffected length) – Byway 22, Tilshead – Imber Place – Candown Road – A360 and vice versa. The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. This Order will come into operation on 28 April 2025, and it is anticipated that the closure will be required until 16 May 2025. Access will be maintained where possible although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. The Order will have a maximum duration of 6 months. A) A30 (Part), Salisbury; from its junction with St Thomas Way to its junction with Barrington Road to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out resurfacing and associated works. Alternative route via A30 (unaffected length) – A36 – A345 – A303 – A338 – A30 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 28 April 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 19:00 and 06:00 until 30 April 2025. B) C324 (Part), Grimstead and West Dean; from its junction with Chapel Hill to its junction with C323 to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out verge overrun repairs and associated works. This Order will come into operation on 28 April 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 07:30 and 17:00 until 02 May 2025. C) Roman Road (Part), Salisbury; from its junction with Ladysmith Road to its junction with Coronation Road to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out centre road to aid lifting material and associated works. Alternative route via Coronation Road – Queen Alexandra Road – Devizes Road – Roman Road (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 29 April 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 for 1 day. D) Fowlers Hill, Salisbury; from its junction with Tollgate Road to its junction with Shady Bower to enable Openreach to carry out telecommunications pole replacement and associated works. Alternative route via Shady Bower – Milford Hill – Rampart Road – Tollgate Road and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 30 April 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 until 05 May 2025. Alternative route via C333 – Green Drove and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 29 April 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 until 01 May 2025. This Order will come into operation on 30 April 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 until 05 May 2025. G) C332 (Part), Pitton, Farley, Winterslow and Firsdown; from its junction with C321 to its junction with C289 to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out verge overrun repairs and other associated works. Alternative route via C289 – A30 – C321 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 07 April 2025 and the closures will be required between the hours of 07:30 and 17:00 until 17 April 2025. J) Rowbarrow Northbound Carriageway (Part), Salisbury; from its junction with The Crescent to its junction with A338 to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out footway resurfacing and associated works. Alternative route via Milton Road (unaffected length) – Burford Road – A338 and vice versa. Alternative route J via Rowbarrow (unaffected length) – Odstock Road – A345 – A338 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 08 April 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 14:30 for 1 day. L) C56 (Part), Salisbury; from its junction with A345 for a distance of approximately 980m in a south westerly direction to enable Openreach to carry out telecom’s equipment repairs and associated works. Alternative route via C56 (unaffected length) – C294 – High Post Road – C292 – A345 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 11 April 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 until 15 April 2025. Orders (A to L) will have a maximum duration of 18 months. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.
