What is happening?

BURY COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984, SECTION 14(1)

THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH OF BURY

(HEYWOOD STREET, BURY)

TEMPORARY CLOSURE ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Metropolitan Borough of Bury have made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from proceeding along:

Heywood Street, Bury – between Parker Street & Rochdale Road

The reason for the proposed order is to facilitate gas main replacement works.

The alternative route will be via Rochdale Road, Angouleme Way, Market Street, Wellington Road & vice-versa.

The Order will come into operation on Monday 07 April 2025 and shall remain in force for a period of up to 12 months, although the anticipated duration of the works is 2 weeks.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Metropolitan Borough of Bury have made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from proceeding along:

Dundee Lane, Ramsbottom – between Downfield Close and the access to Woodside

The reason for the proposed order is to facilitate a new gas supply to property.

The alternative route will be via Bolton Street, Carr Street & Tanners Street & vice-versa.

The Order will come into operation on Monday 07 April 2025 and shall remain in force for a period of up to 12 months, although the anticipated duration is 3 days.
