ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14(1)
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2024
BEDFORD ROAD, KEMPSTON 24 - 142
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bedford Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Bedford Road, Kempston from the junction of Halsey Road for approx 50m. This temporary road closure is required to facilitate repairs to carriageway and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.
This temporary road closure is anticipated to be in operation 09:30 to 15:00 hours from 14th April 2025 to 18th April 2025
The proposed Order will come into operation on 14th April 2025, for a period of 12 months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier. For further information please contact Bedford Borough Council Tel: 01234 718003.

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC

SPRING ROAD, KEMPSTON 25 - 014
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bedford Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Spring Road, Kempston outside 2.
This temporary road closure is required to facilitate a new water supply and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.
This temporary road closure is anticipated to be in operation 08:00 to 18:00 hours from 19th April 2025 to 20th April 2025
The signed alternative route for vehicles affected by the order is available via Bedford Road, Bunyan Road, Elstow Road, Spring Road.
The reverse route applies.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bedford Borough Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along Alexandra Road, Bedford outside 34.
This temporary road closure is required to facilitate a new water supply and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.
This temporary road closure is anticipated to be in operation 08:00 to 17:00 hours from 6th May 2025 to 8th May 2025
The signed alternative route for vehicles affected by the order is available via Conduit Road, Bromham Road, Hassett Street, Greyfriars.
The reverse route applies.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bedford Borough Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along Paula Radcliffe Way, south bound and Oakley Road slip road Clapham. This temporary road closure is required to facilitate Updating Roadside Traffic Signs and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.
This temporary road closure is anticipated to be in operation 20:00 to 06:00 hours from 7th May 2025 to 8th May 2025
The signed alternative route for vehicles affected by the order is available via High Street, Bedford Road, Clapham Road, Paula Radcliffe Way.
The reverse route applies.

This temporary road closure is required to facilitate Updating Roadside Traffic Signs and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.
This temporary road closure is anticipated to be in operation 20:00 to 06:00 hours from 6th May 2025 to 7th May 2025
The signed alternative route for vehicles affected by the order is available via Paula Radcliffe Way, Highfield Road, Milton Road, Oakley Road.
The reverse route applies.

(20MPH SPEED LIMIT) (DUCK END LANE IN THE PARISH OF WILSTEAD) ORDER 2025
Reasons for Proposals:
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on 20th March 2025 Bedford Borough Council made the above Traffic Regulation Order, the effect of which is detailed below:
Effect of the Order:
1. To introduce a 20mph speed limit covering the entire adopted length of Duck End Lane in Wilstead.
Date of Operation: This Order will come into force on 24th March 2025 or as soon as practicable after this date.
A copy of the Order may be viewed at www.bedford.gov.uk/implementedtro.
High Court Challenge: Any person who desires to question the validity of this Order or any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks of the date of this Notice, make application for that purpose to the High Court.

PROPOSE TO REMOVE ONE DISABLED PERSONS
PARKING BAY IN BEATRICE STREET, KEMPSTON
Reason for Proposal:
Bedford Borough Council has received a request to remove one existing disabled persons parking bay in Beatrice Street, Kempston. The removal of the bay will improve parking capacity in the street.
Effect of the Order:
1. To remove one existing disabled persons parking bay at the following location:
