Notice is given that the Council of the City of Peterborough has made an Order pursuant to section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:

The City of Peterborough Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic Order – Burns Close to

St Pauls Road footpath 2025                                            Ref: 25-324

The effect of which is to stop any pedestrian or cyclist from proceeding along the footpath/cycle path known as Burns Close to St Pauls Road footpath, as lies between St James Avenue and Burns Close. The Council is satisfied that pedestrians and cyclists should be prohibited due to works being proposed to be executed on the above footpath/cycle path. The alternative route for pedestrians and cyclists affected by this Order is: Burns Close, Shakespear Avenue, Portland Avenue, St James Avenue and vice versa. The Order will come into operation on the 07/04/2025 and will continue until the utility repair and maintenance works have been completed or until the 06/10/2025, whichever is the earlier. The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as High Field Road, Ashton at its eastbound junction with Bainton Green Road. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is via: Bainton Green Road, Ufford Road, Helpston Road, Bainton Green Road and vice versa. The proposed order will come into force on the 08/04/2025 and will continue until the communication pipe repair works have been completed or until the 07/04/2026, whichever is the earlier. The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Old Oundle Road, Thornhaugh, as lies between A47 and Hall Lane (Wittering 1 Section 1 Bridleway). The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is via: A47, A43, A1175 Kettering Road, A1 and vice versa. The proposed order will come into force on the 08/04/2025 and will continue until the new electricity supply works have been completed or until the 07/04/2026, whichever is the earlier. The proposed Order will come into force on the 06/04/2025 and will continue until the railway level crossing test works have been completed or until the 05/04/2026, whichever is the earlier. The proposed order will come into force on the 15/04/2025 and will continue until the installation of pipeline works have been completed or until the 14/04/2026, whichever is the earlier. (Temporary Restriction of Through Traffic) Notice 2025   Ref: 26-002

The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Woodcroft Road, Etton, as lies between 20m either side of Woodcroft Level Crossing. Access will be maintained to properties affected by this Notice. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is via: Woodcroft Rd, Helpston Rd, Glinton Rd, West St, King St, Stamford Rd, and vice versa. This notice is made in the interest of railway level crossing inspection works and will remain effective for no more than 5 days from the 07/04/2025. It is anticipated that these works will take place overnight between 23:00hrs and 04:30hrs from the 07/04/2025 to the 08/04/2025. The Notice shall not apply to any persons lawfully engaged in connection with any works for which it is made, any member of the Police Force, Fire and Rescue Service, Ambulance Service, a vehicle being used by Special Forces during the execution of their duties or any person acting with permission or upon the direction of a police Officer in uniform.
