A12 Trunk Road - Temporary Prohibition of Traffic For General Routine Maintenance
What is happening?
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)(A) AND (7)
THE A12 TRUNK ROAD (JUNCTION 30 STRATFORD ST MARY, SUFFOLK) SLIP ROADS
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 202_
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited(a) intends to make an Order on the A12 Trunk Road, in the County of Suffolk to allow for nearby third-party telecommunication works and general routine maintenance to be carried out in safety.
The works are expected to last for approximately 1 week (9pm to 5am) starting on or after Tuesday 29 April 2025.
The effect of the Order would be to close the exit slip road from the northbound carriageway and entry slip road to the southbound carriageway of the A12 at J30, Stratford St Mary.
Traffic would be diverted via the A12 northbound to exit at J31, then via the A12 southbound to J30 and continue their journey.
The closures (which would not apply to works, winter maintenance, emergency service or traffic officer vehicles) and diversion routes would be clearly indicated by traffic signs.
The Order would come into force on 22 April 2025 and may continue in force until the works detailed above have been completed, or for a maximum duration of eighteen months, whichever is the earlier.
