Upper Church Lane & Field Road, Tipton / Holly Road, Rowley Regis - Temporary Road Closures
What is happening?
SANDWELL METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL
The Borough Council of Sandwell (Upper Church Lane & Field Road, Tipton) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2025 intends to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Upper Church Lane, which will be closed from the dividing line of property Nos. 68 & 69 to the southern boundary of property Nos. 72 & 73. Field Road will be closed at the junction of Upper Church Lane for approximately 20 metres. Access to any affected frontages will be maintained, but only when safety permits. A traffic diversion route will be signed for the Upper Church Lane closure via High Street, Bloomfield Road, Hurst Lane, Sedgley Road West, Owen Street, Alexandra Road and vice versa. A traffic diversion route will be signed for the Field Road closure via St Marks Road, Ridgeway Road and vice versa. The maximum duration is 18 months but the work is expected to be completed by 25/04/2025 effective from 14/04/2025 (24hrs). Access to any affected frontages will be maintained, but only when safety permits. Traffic will be diverted via Powke Lane, Garratts Lane, Highgate Street, Heathfield Way, Halesowen Road, Beauty Bank, Waterfall Lane, Perry Park Road, Highfield Road and vice versa. The maximum duration is 18 months but the work is expected to be completed by 17/04/2025 effective from 14/04/2025 (24hrs).
