What is happening?

WAKEFIELD COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 –

SECTION 14
(SKINNER LANE, PONTEFRACT)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 80) 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds to replace faulty high voltage mains to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Skinner Lane, Pontefract. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Skinner Lane.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Lady Balk Lane, Monkhill Lane, Mill Dam Lane, North Baileygate, Northgate, Skinner Lane & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 7th April 2025 to 17th April 2025, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner. Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(AKETON ROAD, CASTLEFORD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC)
ORDER (NO.84) 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds to allow surface dressing treatment and periodic sweeping works to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Aketon Road, Castleford. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Aketon Road.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: A639 Leeds Road and A655 Lumbly Street and vice versa

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 5th April 2025 until 19th May 2025, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner. Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(MINSTHORPE LANE, SOUTH ELMSALL)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC)
ORDER (NO 87) 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for consequential damage repairs to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Minsthorpe Lane, South Elmsall from the junction of Prospect Cottages to the junction of Ings Walk. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Minsthorpe Lane. ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Minsthorpe Lane, Little Lane, Barnsley Road & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 22nd April 2025 at 19.00 hours to 23rd April 2025 at 06.00 hours, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(SKINNER LANE, PONTEFRACT)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC)
ORDER (NO 90) 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds to install protection on medium pressure main to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Skinner Lane, Pontefract. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Skinner Lane.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Headlands Lane, Stuart Road, Park Road, De Lacy Way & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 19th April 2025 at 20.00 hours to 20th April 2025 at 06.00 hours, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible. Dated this 3rd day of April 2025
