TRAFFIC ORDER PROPOSALS – PROHIBITION OF WAITING ON WILMOT CLOSE AND STOKE COMMON ROAD

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council ("the Council") proposes to make the above-mentioned Order, in exercise of its powers and duties under Sections1, 2, 4, 5, 122(1) and 122(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act"), Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Act, and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act and having discharged its duty under section 122 of the Act.

GENERAL NATURE AND EFFECTS OF THE ORDER: Will be to impose no waiting at any time restrictions on Wilmot Close and Stoke Common Road as described below:

North

Between its junction with Stoke Common Road and a point 40 metres west thereof.

Wilmot Close Road

South

Between its junction with Stoke Common Road and a point 31 metres west thereof.

Stoke Common Road

West

Between a point 10 metres north of its junction with Wilmot Close and a point 10 metres south of the junction with Wilmot Close

(Opening hours: Monday: 09.30 – 13.30; Tuesday & Thursday – Saturday: 09.30 – 17.00)

(ii) Eastleigh Borough Council, Eastleigh House, Upper Market Street, Eastleigh, SO50 9YN

(Opening hours: Monday – Friday: 08.30 – 17.00)

(iii) Hampshire County Council Headquarters, The Castle, Winchester, SO23 8UJ

(Opening hours: Mondays to Thursdays 8.30 – 5.15; Fridays 8.30 – 4.45)

(iv) Copies of the draft order, plans and statement of reasons can also be obtained by e-mailing public.notices@hants.gov.uk or by writing to Traffic Orders Team, Safer Roads and Parking, Economy, Transport and Environment, 2nd Floor, Elizabeth II Court West, The Castle, Winchester SO23 8UD quoting reference: A2088/CM

OBJECTIONS AND OTHER REPRESENTATIONS: All objections/other representations in respect of this proposal must be made in writing to The Castle, Winchester, SO23 8UD or email public.notices@hants.gov.uk quoting reference:- A2088/CM), by 25th April 2025. All objections must state the grounds on which they are made. Under the requirements of current access to information legislation, any statement you make to the Council in response to this Notice may be made available to the press and to the public who would be entitled to take copies of it if they so wished.

TITLE: The order, if made, will be known as "The Hampshire (Wilmot Close & Stoke Common Road, Bishopstoke) (Prohibition of Waiting) Order 2025."
