Langport Road - Temporary Closure For Pre-Surface Dressing Patching Works

What is happening?

Temporary Closure of Langport Road

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along Langport Road - from the junction with Martock Road to the junction with Catsgore Road. A total distance of 3668 metres.

This Order will enable Kiely Bros to carry out pre-surface dressing patching works on behalf of Somerset Highways. Solid diamond symbolization to be used on diversion route and will not clash with any other Kiely Bros works within the area.

The Order becomes effective on 17th April 2025 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The works are expected to commence on 22nd April 2025 and last until 1st May 2025 between the hours of 19:00 - 05:00 for a total of 9 nights.
