(NORTHUMBERLAND ROAD) (EXPERIMENTAL TRAFFIC) (ONE WAY TRAFFIC) (MAP SCHEDULE) ORDER 2025


NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on 3 April 2025 Sheffield City Council made the above Orders which come into operation on 10 April 2025 under the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The effect of the Order will be to introduce

No Waiting at any time on parts of Northumberland Road
One Way Traffic (except cycles) on parts of Northumberland Road

And remove:
Paid for Parking Places and Permit Bay Monday to Saturday 08.00 to 18.30 Max Stay 4 hours on parts of Northumberland Road

between 10 April 2025 and 10 October 2025.

Copies of the proposed Order, plans showing the roads concerned and a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order may also be examined during normal opening hours at First Point Reception, Howden House, 1 Union Street, Sheffield, S1 2SH

The City Council will be considering in due course whether the provisions of the Experimental Order should be continued in force indefinitely. Any person wishing to object to the making of an Order for such indefinite continuation may do so, to comply with the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, please send these through the

website. The website co sultation will be live from 10 April 2025 and 10 October 2025. Alternatively email or write, giving the grounds for your objection, by the 10 October 2025.

Any alterations to this Order which will render it less restrictive may be authorised by the Head of Strategic Transport, Sustainability and Infrastructure without the requirement to re- advertise the Order under Section 10(2) of the said Act, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police.

Any person who wishes to question the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the enabling Act or that a requirement of the enabling Act or any of the relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with may, within six weeks of 3 April 2025 make application for that purpose to the High Court.
