What is happening?

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
A608 MANSFIELD ROAD, MAIN ROAD, MORLEY
WHEN: 22 April to 09 May 2025 (19:00 to 23:59 each night)
WHERE: 22.04.25 – 25.04.25 Mansfield Road, Main Road, Morley from the Jct. of Brick Kilne Lane approx. for 80m north and 70m south of the Jct.
25.04.25 – 06.05.25 From the entrance to Lime Farm for approx. 30m north.
28.04.25 – 09.05.25 From the entrance to The Equestrian Centre for approx. 215m.
REASON: To facilitate carriageway patching and resurfacing.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Mansfield Road, Sir Frank Whittle Road, The Pentagon, Brian Clough Way, A52 Spondon Road, Ladywood Road, Little Hallam Hill, Stanton Road, White Lion Square, Derby Road, High Lane East, High Lane Central, High Lane West, Belper Road, Ilkeston Road, Main Road and vice versa.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190. The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
