East End Lane - Temporary Road Closure For Pre-Surface Dressing Patching Works

What is happening?

Temporary Closure of East End Lane

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along East End Lane - from the junction with Nedge Hill, for its entirety. A total distance of 2092 metres. 

This Order will enable Kiely Bros to carry out pre-surface dressing patching (handlay) works on behalf of Somerset Highways. 

Solid diamond symbolization to be used on diversion route and will not clash with any other Kiely Bros works within the area.

The Order becomes effective on 17th April 2025 and will remain in force for eighteen months. 

The works are expected to commence on 22nd April 2025 and last until 2nd May 2025 between the hours of 07:00 - 19:00 for a total of 11 days.
