The City Of Westminster (Prescribed Routes) (No. 6) Traffic Order 2025
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Westminster City Council on 31st March 2025 made the above Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49, 63 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.
2. The general effect of the Orders will be to:
(a) on the north-east side of Belgrave Road:
(i) introduce double yellow line "at any time" waiting and loading restrictions at its junction with Warwick Way, including outside Nos. 29 and 31; and
(ii) introduce double yellow line "at any time" waiting and loading restrictions outside No. 35;
(b) on Denbigh Street, introduce a banned left turn at its junction with Warwick Way, except for vehicles under 7.5 tonnes;
(c) on the east side of Denbigh Street, remove 12 metres of residents' parking outside Nos. 10 and 12;
(d) on the west side of Denbigh Street:
(i) introduce double yellow line "at any time" waiting restrictions outside Nos. 1 to 3; and
(ii) introduce a 6.6-metre loading bay (Monday to Friday, 8.30a.m. to 6.30p.m. maximum stay 20 minutes, no return within 1 hour) outside Nos. 5 and 7;
(e) on Warwick Way, introduce one-way working south westbound, with mandatory contra-flow cycling, between its junctions with Upper Tachbrook Street and Belgrave Road;
(e) on the north-west side of Warwick Way, remove all waiting and loading restrictions and loading bays between Upper Tachbrook Street and Belgrave Road, and:
(i) introduce a 25.8-metre "at any time" goods vehicles only loading bay (maximum stay 30 minutes, no return within 1 hour) outside Nos. 17 to 23;
(ii) introduce double yellow line "at any time" waiting and loading restrictions between The Warwick Public House, No. 25 and No. 47;
(iii) introduce a 14-metre "at any time" goods vehicles only loading bay (maximum stay 30 minutes, no return within 1 hour) outside Nos. 47 to 53; and
(iv) introduce double yellow line "at any time" waiting and loading restrictions between its junctions with Guildhouse Street and Belgrave Road;
(f) on the south-east side of Warwick Way, remove all waiting and loading restrictions and loading bays between Upper Tachbrook Street and Belgrave Road, and:
(i) introduce a 15-metre "at any time" goods vehicles only loading bay (maximum stay 1 hour, no return within 1 hour) outside Nos. 16 and 18-24;
(ii) introduce double yellow line "at any time" waiting and loading restrictions between Nos. 18-24 and its junction with Denbigh Street;
(iii) introduce a 12.3-metre "at any time" goods vehicles only loading bay (maximum stay 30 minutes, no return within 1 hour) outside Nos. 32 and 34; and
(iv) introduce double yellow line "at any time" waiting and loading restrictions between No. 34 and its junction with Belgrave Road; and
(g) on Wilton Road, introduce double yellow line "at any time" waiting restrictions on both sides, between its junctions with Longmoore Street and Warwick Way.
The Orders for the kerbside and traffic management amendments on Charlwood Place, Charlwood Street, Churton Place, Churton Street, Guildhouse Street, Tachbrook Street and Upper Tachbrook Street, as set out in the Notice of Proposals published on 15th November 2023, will be made in due course.
3. The Orders, which will come into force on 7th April 2025, and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders are available for inspection until 12th May 2025 at https://westminstertransportationservices.co.uk/notices and, in person by appointment only, at Westminster City Hall, 64 Victoria Street, London, SW1E 6QP, between 9.00 a.m. and 5.00 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays (except bank / public holidays). 4. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made thereunder have not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks from the date on which the Orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
