TEMPORARY TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT ORDER
THE LONDON BOROUGH OF BARKING AND DAGENHAM
(DAGENHAM AVENUE, DAGENHAM) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE OF INTENT
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that in order to facilitate civil engineering works, the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham intends to make a Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
2. The order is expected to come in to effect on Thursday 17 April 2025.
The works expected for:
- Civil engineering to take 29 days to complete. Completion date estimated as Thursday 15 May 2025 with the work expected to be undertaken between 8.00am and 5.00pm.
However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be re-introduced should further works be required.
3. When the works are taking place and the appropriate traffic signs are being displayed the Order will temporarily: -
- Prohibit all vehicular traffic on Dagenham Avenue, both sides, from its junction with Heathway for a distance of 58.5 metres in a south-westerly direction.
- Prohibit all vehicles from turning left from Heathway into Dagenham Avenue.
- Prohibit all vehicles from turning right from Hedgemans Road into Dagenham Avenue.
4. Alternative routes for Vehicular traffic will be maintained and signed:
- Via Heathway, Hedgemans Road, Talbot Road, Dagenham Avenue and Vice Versa.
