Stokes Bay Road, Gosport - Temporary Road Closure due to Works
What is happening?
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE – STOKES BAY ROAD, GOSPORT
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council has made an order under S.14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to allow works to be carried out on or near the road.
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: that part of Stokes Bay Road between its junction with Gomer Lane and its junction with No.2 Battery West Car Park.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Gomer Lane, B3333, Anglesey Road
DURATION OF ORDER: from 5th April 2025 for a period of 6 months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner. (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 13 days, and in operation for 24 hours a day).
The road closure has been granted by Hampshire County Council to facilitate works for Connect It Utility Services to carry out reinforcement electric network works on behalf of SSEN. If there are any queries or enquiries regarding this Order please contact: nrswa@cius.co.uk
Connect It Utility Services will provide reasonable facilities to allow access to adjacent premises and provide notice to those directly affected while the work is being carried out.
