Sudbourne, Temporary Road Closures Due To Fibre Network Installation

What is happening?

SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U3806 CHURCH LANE, C336 SNAPE ROAD, U3803 SCHOOL ROAD AND U3828 FERRY ROAD SUDBOURNE

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the following roads in the following phases:

  1. the U3806 Church Lane, Sudbourne from the junction with Snape Road to the junction with Ferry Road.

  2. the C336 Snape Road, Sudbourne from no. 4 to Chequers

  3. the U3803 School Road, Sudbourne from the junction with Snape Road to Timbers

  4. the U3828 Ferry Road, Sudbourne from no. 2 Airey Cottages to Crab Tree Cottage

  5. the U3828 Ferry Road, Sudbourne from no. 61 to no. 76.

This is to facilitate a fibre network installation. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion routes will be:

  1. (for Church Lane) Hospital Road, Ferry Road and vice versa

  2. (for Snape Road) Sudbourne Road, Snape Road, Iken Road, the B1069 Snape Road, Orford Road, The Common, the B1078, the B1084, Church Lane, Ferry Road and vice versa

  3. (for School Road) Snape Road, Church Lane, Ferry Road and vice versa

  4. (for Ferry Road) Lamberts Lane, Red House Farm Road, Hill Farm Road, Tunstall Road, Snape Road, Sudbourne Road, School Road and vice versa

  5. School Road, Snape Road, Church Lane and vice versa

It is intended that the closures will operate from:

  • Church Lane: 02/04/25-08/04/25

  • Snape Road: 09/04/25-27/04/25

  • School Road: 28/04/25-16/05/25

  • Ferry Road phases 1 and 2: 19/05/25-24/06/25.

If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U3805 CRAG FARM ROAD AND HIGH HOUSE FARM ROAD, SUDBOURNE

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the following roads in the following phases:

  • the U3805 Crag Farm Road, Sudbourne from the junction with Ferry Road for its entire length

  • the U3805 High House Farm Road, Sudbourne from the junction with Ferry Road to High House.

This is to facilitate a fibre installation. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion routes will be:

  • Ferry Road, High House Farm Road and vice versa

  • Crag Farm Road and vice versa

It is intended that the closures will operate from:

  • 02/04/2025 – 03/04/2025

  • 09/06/2025 – 15/06/2025.

If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).
