Woolavington Road, Temporary Road Closure Due To Various Works

What is happening?

Somerset Council Parishes of Puriton and Woolavington Temporary Closure of Woolavington Road

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, have made an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along Woolavington Road - from Woolavington Road Roundabout, eastwards for a total distance of 1304 metres. This Order will enable M&A Doocey Civil Engineering Ltd to excavate trench to install HV duct/telecom duct/cable and chambers on behalf of National Grid.

The Order becomes effective on 1st April 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 7th April 2025 and last until 7th September 2025 between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of 154 days.
