What is happening?

(HIGH STREET, ROCHESTER) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable carriageway resurfacing and associated highway maintenance works to be carried out -

High Street, Rochester - the left turn lane between west of the junction with Furrels Road and the junction with Star Hill to be closed to all vehicular traffic. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Corporation Street and Commercial Road.

This Order will come into force on Thursday, 1 May 2025 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Thursday, 1 May 2025 and are programmed for completion within one night (with works taking place between 7pm and 7am). The Order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

(CAMDEN ROAD, GILLINGHAM) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable water supply works to be carried out -

Camden Road, Gillingham - to be closed to all vehicular traffic across the frontage of 1 Camden Road. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. No alternative route is available. Emergency access will be maintained at all times.

This Order will come into force on Tuesday, 6 May 2025 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Tuesday, 6 May 2025 and are programmed for completion within four days. The Order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

(WESTCOURT STREET, GILLINGHAM) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable the gas main to be replaced -

Westcourt Street, Gillingham - to be closed to all vehicular traffic between the junction with River Street and the junction with High Street. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Dock Road, Wood Street roundabout and Middle Street.

This Order will come into force on Monday, 5 May 2025 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Monday, 5 May 2025 and are programmed for completion within four weeks. The Order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

(NEW ROAD AVENUE, CHATHAM) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable carriageway resurfacing and associated highway maintenance works to be carried out

New Road Avenue, Chatham - to be closed to all vehicular traffic in the southern (westbound) lane of New Road Avenue across the junction with Gibraltar Hill. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be provided and signed via Railway Street.

This Order will come into force on Tuesday, 6 May 2025 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Tuesday, 6 May 2025 and are programmed for completion within one night (with works taking place between 7pm and 7am). The Order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

(PIER ROAD, GILLINGHAM) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic  to enable a manhole cover and frame to be replaced

Pier Road, Gillingham - The westbound traffic lane to be closed to all vehicular traffic between the westbound traffic lane to be closed eight metres east of the junction with Camden Road. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available and signed via Watling Street and Rainham Road.

This Order will come into force on Thursday, 1 May 2025 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Thursday, 1 May 2025 and are programmed for completion within one night (with works taking place between 11pm and 5am). The Order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

(STAR HILL, ROCHESTER) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable carriageway resurfacing and associated highway maintenance works to be carried out

Star Hill, Rochester - to be closed to all vehicular traffic between the junction with City Way and the junction with High Street. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be provided and signed as the works progress.

This Order will come into force on Thursday, 1 May 2025 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Thursday, 1 May 2025 and are programmed for completion within two nights (with works taking place between 7pm and 7am). The Order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

(A289, WAINSCOTT BY-PASS) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable traffic to be diverted in advance of road works at the junction of A289 with A2/M2 interchange -

A289, Wainscott By-Pass - to be closed to all vehicular traffic between the junction with A226 Gravesend Road and the junction with A2/M2 on slip road. An alternative route will be provided and signed.

This Order will come into force on Monday, 5 May 2025 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the A289/A2 junction works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. These night works are due to commence on or after Monday, 5 May 2025 and are programmed for completion within two weeks (with the closure in place Monday to Friday nights only between 8pm and 6am each night). The Order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.
