What is happening?

HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF CROSSMEAD, WATFORD) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Crossmead, Watford from its junction with Colne Avenue north eastwards and south westwards for its entire length ("the Road"), except for access.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 14 April 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF ELSTREE AND BOREHAMWOOD PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO.023) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedestrians from using Elstree and Borehamwood Public Footpath No.023 from its junction with Park Crescent north westwards to its junction with Elstree and Borehamwood Public Footpath No.011, a distance of approximately 48m ("the Public Footpath").

An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the west side of Parks Crescent, the footway situated on the west side of Links Drive, the footpath situated on the south side of Links Drive, the footway situated on the north side of B5378 Allum Lane, the cycle track situated to the rear of Nos.1-37 Barnham Avenue and Elstree and Borehamwood Public Footpath No.011.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Public Footpath.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 14 April 2025 for a period of up to 6 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Public Footpath.

(TEMPORARY 30MPH SPEED RESTRICTIONS ON A405 NORTH ORBITAL ROAD, WATFORD) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from being driven at a speed exceeding 30mph on the north eastbound carriageway of A405 North Orbital Road, Watford from a point 570m south east of its junction with the A41 North Western Avenue/High Road roundabout north eastwards for a distance of approximately 130m ("the Road"), when signs are in place.

The Order is needed because telecoms works are proposed to be executed near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 14 April 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Bullsland Lane, Chorleywood from a point in line with the north eastern boundary of No.47 Bullsland Lane south westwards for a distance of approximately 38m ("the Road"), except for access.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

The Order is needed because water main repair works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 16 April 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of B4542 Little Oxhey Lane, South Oxhey from a point 158m north east of its junction with Alltan Way north eastwards for a distance of approximately 75m ("the Road").

An alternative route will be via B4542 (Little Oxhey Lane/Prestwick Road/Beckenham Avenue), A4125 (Hampermill Lane/Eastbury Road), A411 (Chalk Hill, A4008 (Aldenham Road/Pinner Road/Oxhey Lane) and B4542 (Little Oxhey Lane) or via B4542 Little Oxhey Lane), A4008 (Oxhey Lane/Chalk Hill), A4125 (Eastbury Road/Hampermill Lane) and B4542 (Beckenham Avenue/Prestwick Road/Little Oxhey Lane).

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedestrians from using the following length of footpath ("the Footpath") and public footpath ("the Public Footpath"):

  1. the footpath situated between No.1 and No.2 Sutton Path, Borehamwood from its junction with Statfield Road south eastwards for its entire length.

    There is no alternative route available for pedestrians when the works are being carried out. However pedestrian access to properties along this footpath will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

  2. that length of Abbots Langley Public Footpath No.033 from its junction with Marlin Square south eastwards and north eastwards for a distance of approximately 145m.

    An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the south side of Marlin Square, Abbots Langley Public Footpath No.035, Abbots Langley Public Footpath No.036, the footway situated on the north side of Trowley Rise, the footway situated on the west side of Tibbs Hill Road and Abbots Langley Public Footpath No.033.

    The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Footpath and Public Footpath.

  3. that length of Widgeon Way, Watford from its junction with Meriden Way north eastwards and north westwards to its junction with York Way, a distance of approximately 331m.

    An alternative route will be via York Way and Meriden Way.

  4. that length of Kelshall, Watford from its junction with Widgeon Way south eastwards and north eastwards to its junction with Westlea Avenue, a distance of approximately 119m.

    An alternative route will be via Widgeon Way, York Way and Westlea Avenue.

  5. that length of Fulford Grove, South Oxhey from its junction with its westernmost junction with Hayling Road northwards, north eastwards, eastwards, south eastwards and southwards to its easternmost junction with Hayling Road, a distance of approximately 592m.

    An alternative route will be via Hayling Road

  6. that length of Parnell Court, Watford from its junction with Falcon Way southwards, south eastwards and south westwards for its entire length.

    There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

    The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF ROUSEBARN LANE, CROXLEY GREEN) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Rousebarn Lane, Croxley Green from its junction with Fir Tree Hill south eastwards for a distance of approximately 70m ("the Road"), except for access.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 31 March 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF VICTORIA CLOSE, RICKMANSWORTH) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Victoria Close, Rickmansworth from a point 80m south east of its junction with Nightingale Road north westwards for a distance of approximately 20m ("the Road").

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

The Order is needed because electrical repair works are proposed to be executed near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 31 March 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF WINDMILL STREET, BUSHEY HEATH) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Windmill Street, Bushey Heath from a point in line with the southern boundary of No.26 Windmill Street north westwards for a distance of approximately 25m ("the Road"), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Windmill Street, Windmill Lane, A4140 High Road, A411 (High Road/Elstree Road), Titan Avenue and Windmill Street or via Windmill Street, Titan Avenue, A4140 High Road, High Road and Windmill Street.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 31 March 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Shepherds Lane, Chorleywood from a point 174m south west of its junction with Chorleywood Public Footpath No.029 north westwards for a distance of approximately 140m ("the Road"), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Shepherds Lane, Chiltern Drive, Berry Lane and Shepherds Way.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 31 March 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Queenswood Crescent, Watford from a point in line with the southeast boundary of No.45 Queenswood Crescent north westwards for a distance of approximately 20m ("the Road").

An alternative route will be via Queenswood Crescent, Sheepcot Lane and Queenswood Crescent.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 31 March 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.
