Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
THANET AREA
B2052 Albion Street, Broadstairs, CT10 1EP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2052 Albion Street, Broadstairs, on or after 22nd April 2025 for up to 6 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 2, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2052 Albion Street, B2052 Nelson Place, Crow Hill, Lindenthorpe Road, Carlton Avenue, A255 High Street, B2052 High Street and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
B2052 College Road, Margate, CT9 4BL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow gas works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2052 College Road, Margate, on or after 7th April 2025 for up to 11 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 92, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any Eastbound through traffic is via A254 Ramsgate Road, A254 Queens Avenue, A255 Grosvenor Gardens, A255 High Street, A255 St Peters Road and B2052 College Road.
The alternative route for any Westbound through traffic is via B2052 College Road, A255 St Peters Road, A255 Ramsgate Road and A254 Ramsgate Road.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
B2053 St Peters Park Road & A255 St Peters Road & Fordoun Road, Broadstairs, CT10 2BJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & PROHIBITION OF LEFT TURN) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow gas works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2053 St Peters Park Road & A255 St Peters Road & Fordoun Road, Broadstairs, on or after 7th April 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
Restrictions will be imposed to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
B2053 St Peters Park Road will be closed outside number 22.
A prohibition of left turn will be imposed on part of A255 St Peters Road. The restriction will be imposed turning left from A255 St Peters Road onto B2053 St Peters Park Road.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A255 St Peters Road, A255 Broadstairs Road, A255 Dane Court Road, A255 St Peters Road, B2052 College Road, B2052 Millmead Road, B2052 Northdown Park Road, B2053 Northdown Hill, B2053 Westover Road, B2053 Beacon Road, B2053 Church Street, B2053 Albion Road, B2053 St Peters Park Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Buenos Ayres, Margate, CT9 5FE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Buenos Ayres, Margate, on or after 22nd April 2025 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 5, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route. Every effort will be made to maintain access for residents whenever it is safe to do so.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Cottington Road, Minster, CT12 5JN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Cottington Road, Minster, on or after 9th April 2025 for up to 7 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside St Augustines Golf Course, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Cottington Road, Foads Lane, Foads Hill, Canterbury Road West, A299 Hengist Way, Cottington Link and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Ebbsfleet Lane North, Ramsgate, CT12 5DN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Ebbsfleet Lane North, Ramsgate, on or after 7th April 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Sevenscore Farm Cottages, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route. Every effort will be made to maintain access for residents whenever it is safe to do so.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Fig Tree Road, Broadstairs, CT10 3AJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Fig Tree Road, Broadstairs, on or after 7th April 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction of Callis Court Road for approximately 175m, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route. Every effort will be made to maintain access for residents whenever it is safe to do so.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Harbour Street, Broadstairs, CT10 1EP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Harbour Street, Broadstairs, on or after 6th April 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the junction of B2052 Albion Road, between the hours of 20:00 and 05:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route. Every effort will be made to maintain access for residents whenever it is safe to do so.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
High Street, Margate, CT9 1EZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SUSPENSION OF ONE-WAY) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow gas works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of High Street, Margate, on or after 22nd April 2025 for up to 10 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 20A, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The one-way Order will be suspended between the junctions of Market Street and New Street, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Market Street, Lombard Street, B2055 Hawley Street and New Street.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Kings Avenue, Broadstairs, CT10 3NU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Kings Avenue, Broadstairs, on or after 8th April 2025 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the junction of Lanthorne Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Lanthorne Road, B2052 Stone Road, Bishops Avenue, Kings Avenue and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Monkton Street, Monkton, CT12 4EY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Monkton Street, Monkton, on or after 23rd April 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed opposite number 56, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Monkton Street, Willetts Hill, A299 Canterbury Road West, Tothill Street, Monkton Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Northwood Road, Broadstairs, CT10 2QQ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Northwood Road, Broadstairs, on or after 6th April 2025 for up to 6 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the junction of A256 Westwood Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A256 Westwood Road, A254 Margate Road, Northwood Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Percy Road, Margate, CT9 2DR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Percy Road, Margate, on or after 21st April 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Percy House, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any Northbound through traffic is via Percy Road, Sweyn Road, B2051 Queens Parade, B2051 Ethelbert Crescent and Edgar Road.
The alternative route for any Southbound through traffic is via Percy Road, Edgar Road, Stanley Road and Gordon Road.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Sea View Road, Broadstairs, CT10 1DW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Sea View Road, Broadstairs, on or after 21st April 2025 for up to 6 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 32, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Sea View Road, Kings Avenue, Lindenthorpe Road, Lyndhurst Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Shottendane Road, Birchington, CT7 0HR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Shottendane Road, Birchington, on or after 7th April 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the junction of B2050 Manston Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2050 Manston Road, B2050 Manston Road East, Manston Road, Shottendane Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
