What is happening?

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
SEVENOAKS AREA
A225 High Street, Sevenoaks, TN13 9LE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of bird Proofing to Lloyds Bank, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A225 High Street, Sevenoaks, on or after 27th April 2025 for up to 1 night between 20.00hrs and 06.00hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Lloyds Bank.
The alternative route is via Pembroke Road, A224 London Road and vice versa.
B2026 Hosey Hill, Westerham, TN16 1TB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of sewer cover replacement, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2026 Hosey Hill, Westerham, on or after 27th April 2025 for up to 1 night between 19.00hrs and 03.00hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Westerham Lodge.
The alternative route is via B2026 Hosey Hill/Hosey Common Road, B269 Kent Hatch Road, A25 Westerham Road/High Street/Market Square/Vicarage Hill and vice versa.
Camberwell Lane, Ide Hill, TN14 6JN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of a new electricity supply, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Camberwell Lane, Ide Hill, on or after 22nd April 2025 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 24.
There is no alternative route but access will be maintained when safe to do so.
Highlands Hill, Swanley, BR8 7LE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of resurfacing works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Highlands Hill, Swanley, on or after 7th April 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed 100m either side of the new entrance to Bellway Homes site.
The alternative route is via Swanley Village Road, Button Street, A20 London Road/Broom Hill Roundabout, B2173 London Road/High Street, B258 Swanley Lane, Highlands Hill and vice versa.
Hilders Lane, Edenbridge, TN8 6LE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Hilders Lane, Edenbridge, on or after 25th April 2025 for up to 1 day between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Cranmore.
The alternative route is via Hilders Lane, B2026 Main Road/Station Road/Mont St Aignan Way, Stangrove Road, Crouch House Road, Little Browns Lane and vice versa.
Mapleton Road, Four Elms, TN8 6PN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of overhead cable works and pole testing, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Mapleton Road, Four Elms, on or after 9th April 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between B269 Pootings Road and Puddledock Lane.
The alternative route is via Mapleton Road, B2026 Hosey Common Road/Main Road, B269 Spout Lane/Pootings Road and vice versa.
Noahs Ark, Kemsing, TN15 6PG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of a new gas service, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Noahs Ark, Kemsing, on or after 6th April 2025 for up to 6 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 14.
The alternative route is via Noahs Ark, Church Street, A25 High Street, School Lane, Childsbridge Lane, West End, St Ediths Road and vice versa.
Otford Lane, Halstead, TN14 7EB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of electric cable repair works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Otford Lane, Halstead, on or after 8th April 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Hazel Cottage.
The alternative route is via Shoreham Road, Shoreham Lane, Badgers Mount Roundabout, A224 London Road/Polhill, Otford Lane and vice versa.
Rushmore Hill, Knockholt, TN14 7JH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of gas mains replacement works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on Rushmore Hill, Knockholt, on or after 9th April 2025 until 16th July 2025 or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed for the entire length.
The alternative route is via Halstead Lane, Knockholt Road, Shoreham Road, Shoreham Lane, Badgers Mount Roundabout, A224 Orpington Bypass Road, A21 Sevenoaks Road, Rushmore Hill and vice versa.
Truggers Lane To Grove Road, Chiddingstone Hoath, TN8 7BT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Truggers Lane To Grove Road, Chiddingstone Hoath, on or after 8th April 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed near Hoath House.
The alternative route is via Truggers Lane To Grove Road, Hoath Corner To Oakenden Lane, Hoath Corner, Truggers Lane and vice versa.
Victoria Hill Road, Hextable, BR8 7LL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of a new gas connection, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Victoria Hill Road, Hextable, on or after 22nd April 2025 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside No. 28.
There is no alternative route but access will be maintained when safe to do so.
Witches Lane, Riverhead, TN13 2AT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of a traffic island upgrade, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Witches Lane, Riverhead, on or after 7th April 2025 for up to 15 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the junction with A25 Worships Hill.
The alternative route is via A25 Worships Hill/The Square/London Road Roundabout/London Road, Bullfinch Lane, Witches Lane and vice versa.
Various Roads, Sevenoaks, (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of gas works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on Various Roads, Sevenoaks, as per the schedule below.
Croft Way 21 April 2025 - 30 June 2025
Closing the split island for the compound area.
Redlands Road 28 April 2025 - 30 June 2025
Closing the split island for a connection.
Downsview Road 19 May 2025 - 26 June 2025
Closure for a backup for the compound area.
Brittains Lane 24 May 2025 – 1 June 2025
Diversion is via Oak Lane, A225 High Street, A224 London Road, A224 Amherst Hill and vice versa.
