Notice of Proposals

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Assistant Director Infrastructure and Regulatory Services of the Wigan Borough Council in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and delegated to her by the said Council proposes to make the Wigan Borough (Darlington Street East Wigan) (Temporary Closure) Order 2025.

The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person from driving a vehicle or causing or permitting a vehicle to be driven in Darlington Street East Wigan during the period of 09:00 and 15:00 on 10/08/2025.

The alternative route for traffic is: Liverpool Road, Platt Street, Lily Lane, Bolton Road, Wigan Road, Warrington Road, Westwood Way, Chapel Lane, Riverway and Harrogate Street

The Order is necessary to allow a frame and cover replacement.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Assistant Director Infrastructure and

Regulatory Services of Wigan Borough Council in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and delegated to her by the said Council has made the Wigan Borough (Woodhouse Lane Wigan) (Temporary Closure) Order 2025.

The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person from driving a vehicle or causing or permitting a vehicle to be driven in Woodhouse Lane Wigan during the period of 19:00 to 22:00 on 15/05/2025.

The alternative route for traffic is: New Market Street, Mesnes Street, Bridgeman Terrace, Kenyon Road, Mesnes Road, Wigan Lane, Wigan Road, School Lane,

Almond Brook Road, Shevington Lane and Gathurst Lane

The Order is necessary to allow the replacement of a frame and cover.

(Makerfield Way Ince) (Temporary Closure) Order 2025  Notice of Making

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Assistant Director Infrastructure and

Regulatory Services of Wigan Borough Council in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and delegated to her by the said Council has made the Wigan Borough

(Makerfield Way Ince) (Temporary Closure) Order 2025.

The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person from driving a vehicle or causing or permitting a vehicle to be driven in Makerfield Way Ince during the period of 20:00 to 05:00 commencing on 14/04/2025 to 17/04/2025. Access will be maintained where possible.

The Order is necessary to allow maintenance of a telecom pole.

(Bradley Lane Standish) (Temporary Closure) Order 2025  Notice of Making

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Assistant Director Infrastructure and

Regulatory Services of Wigan Borough Council in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and delegated to her by the said Council has made the

Wigan Borough (Bradley Lane Standish)

(Temporary Closure) Order 2025.

The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person from driving a vehicle or causing or permitting a vehicle to be driven in Bradley Lane Standish at the railway bridge during the period of 22:00 to 05:00 commencing on 22/05/2025 to 23/05/2025.

The alternative route for traffic is: Preston Road, Rectory Lane and Chorley Road. The Order is necessary to allow access and assessment of the bridge.

(Wigan Road Standish) (Temporary Closure) Order 2025  Notice of Making

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Assistant Director Infrastructure and

Regulatory Services of Wigan Borough Council in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and delegated to her by the said Council has made the Wigan Borough (Wigan Road Standish)

(Temporary Closure) Order 2025.

The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person from driving a vehicle or causing or permitting a vehicle to be driven in Wigan Road Standish during the period of 19:00 and 23:00 on 09/06/2025.

The alternative route for traffic is: Chorley Road, Wigan Lane, Bolton Road, Bolton

Street, Lyons Lane South, Shepherds Way, Clifford Street, Bengal Street,

Commercial Road, Park Road, Market Street, Saint Thomas Road, Southport Road and Balshaw Lane.

The Order is necessary to allow the replacement of a frame and cover.

(Park Road Hindley) (Temporary Closure) Order 2025

Notice of Proposals

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Assistant Director Infrastructure and Regulatory Services of the Wigan Borough Council in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and delegated to her by the said Council proposes to make the Wigan Borough (Park Road Hindley) (Temporary Closure) Order 2025.

The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person from driving a vehicle or causing or permitting a vehicle to be driven in Park Road Hindley from 28/04/2025 to 30/04/2025.

Access will be maintained where possible.

The Order is necessary to allow lay ducting.

(Devon Drive Standish) (Temporary Closure) Order 2025

Notice of Proposals

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Assistant Director Infrastructure and Regulatory Services of the Wigan Borough Council in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and delegated to her by the said Council proposes to make the Wigan Borough (Devon Drive Standish) (Temporary Closure) Order 2025.

The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person from driving a vehicle or causing or permitting a vehicle to be driven in Devon Drive Standish during the period of 26/05/2025 to 12/06/2025.

The alternative route for traffic is Chorley Road.

The Order is necessary to allow gas mains replacement.
