Folkestone and Hythe, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices
What is happening?
Highways
Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
FOLKESTONE & HYTHE AREA
Eastern Road, Lydd, TN29 9DR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow gas works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Eastern Road, Lydd, on or after 22nd April 2025 for up to 10 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of Mill Road and Proctor Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Mill Road, Ness Road, Eastern Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Lympne Hill, Lympne, CT21 4NX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Lympne Hill, Lympne, on or after 22nd April 2025 for up to 7 hours or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Studfall Ridge, between the hours of 11:00 and 18:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any Southbound through traffic is via Lympne Hill, Aldington Road, C564 From Lympne Town Boundary To A261 London Road, A261 London Road, A259 Military Road, A259 Red Lion Square, A259 Dymchurch Road, Botolphs Bridge Road, Lower Wall Road and West Hythe Road.
The alternative route for any Northbound through traffic is via West Hythe Road, Lower Wall Road, Botolphs Bridge Road, A259 Dymchurch Road, A259 Scanlons Bridge, A261 London Road, C564 From Lympne Town Boundary To A261 London Road, Aldington Road and Lympne Hill.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Sandling Road, Postling, CT21 4HB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Sandling Road, Postling, on or after 9th April 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of Staple Lane and Cuckoo Lane, between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Sandling Road, Canterbury Road, Beachborough, A20 Ashford Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
School Road, Saltwood, CT21 5HU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow electrical works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of School Road, Saltwood, on or after 7th April 2025 for up to 11 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of Tanners Close and Castle Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via School Road, Castle Road, Hillcrest Road, Brockhill Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Whatsole Street, Elmsted (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Whatsole Street, Elmsted, on or after 11th April 2025 for up to 6 hours or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of Maxted Street and Elchin Hill, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Whatsole Street, Maxted Street, B2068 Stone Street, Thorn Lane, Dean Hill, Dean Bottom, From Whatsole Junction With Elchin Hill To Dean Bottom and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
