Dover, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices

What is happening?

Highways

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984,  makes or intends to make the following Orders.

 

DOVER AREA

 

Elmstone & Nash Road, Ash, CT3 2JU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Elmstone & Nash Road, Ash, on or after 7th April 2025 for up to 6 hours or until the works have been completed.

Closures will be between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

Elmstone will be closed between the junctions of Church Hill and Elmstone.

Nash Road will be closed between the junctions of Elmstone and Overland Lane.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Nash Road, A257 Ash Bypass, A257 Pedding Hill, A257 Roman Road, A257 Gobery Hill, Preston Hill, Preston Road, Nash Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Felderland Lane, Worth, CT14 0PB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Felderland Lane, Worth, on or after 6th April 2025 for up to 6 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside 5 Bowes Villas, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Felderland Lane, A256 Sandwich Road, A258 Deal Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Heronden Road, Eastry (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Heronden Road, Eastry, on or after 23rd April 2025 for up to 6 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Lower Heronden Farm, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Heronden Road, Sandwich Road, Hammill Road, Drainless Road, Foxborough Hill, Woodnesborough Lane, Gore Lane and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Hoaden Lane, Ash, CT3 2JY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Hoaden Lane, Ash, on or after 11th April 2025 for up to 6 hours or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of Church Hill and Overland Lane, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Hoaden Lane, Church Hill, Sheerwater Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Loop Street, Sandwich, CT13 9DJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Loop Street, Sandwich, on or after 6th April 2025 for up to 6 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 14, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

There is no alternative route. Every effort will be made to maintain access for residents whenever it is safe to do so.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Lower Road, Staple, CT3 1LH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow drainage works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Lower Road, Staple, on or after 23rd April 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from outside number 2 to outside number 3, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via School Lane, Buckland Lane, Mill Road, Mill Lane, Barnsole Road, Lower Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Salisbury Road, Walmer, CT14 7QH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow highway improvement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Salisbury Road, Walmer, on or after 7th April 2025 for up to 21 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of Court Road and Balfour Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Salisbury Road, Court Road, Station Road, A258 Dover Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

The Street, Preston, CT3 1FQ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of The Street, Preston, on or after 4th April 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the junction of Grove Road, between the hours of 12:00 and 14:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

Preston Lane, Preston Road, Preston Hill, A257 Gobery Hill, A257 Roman Road, A257 Pedding Hill, A257 Ash Bypass, A256 Sandwich Bypass, A256 Ramsgate Road, A256 Richborough Road, A299 Hengist Way, A299 Canterbury Road West, A253 Canterbury Road, Gore Street, Plucks Gutter, The Street, Preston Road, Stourmouth Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Wellington Road, Deal, CT14 7AS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SUSPENSION OF ONE-WAY) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Wellington Road, Deal, on or after 23rd April 2025 for up to 14 days or until the works have been completed.

The restrictions will be imposed between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 only.

Wellington Road will be closed from outside number 29 to the junction of Victoria Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The one-way Order will be suspended from outside number 29 to the junction of Blenheim Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Blenheim Road, Gilford Road, A258 Victoria Road, A258 Ranelagh Road, A258 Prince of Wales Terrace, A258 Beach Street, South Street and Victoria Road.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
