D2097 Cox Lane, West Ewell

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 26 March 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D2097 Cox Lane, West Ewell (including D2097 Cox Lane Service Road that leads to Ruxley Lane Service Road for No.122 to No.134) that extends from the southern side of the junction with D2052 Brumfield Road, to the junction with B284 Ruxley Lane. This Traffic Order is required to enable Cappagh Contractors to excavate and carry out repairs to a collapsed sewer pipe and/or maintenance works outside “Lily Court”. These works are anticipated to be carried out within 3 weeks of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 05 April 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure which is anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and, dismounted equestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access for emergency services, residents and businesses, will be maintained at all times to the point of works via the alternative route:- Brumfield Road, Fendall Road and Ruxley Lane.

West Street (B280) Epsom

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 26 March 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit all traffic from entering or proceeding in that length of West Street (B280) Epsom that is crossed under the bridge known as “West Hill” 13/13 and for a distance of 40 metres either side. Alternative Route: (1) (B280) West Hill, (B280) Christ Church Road, Horton Lane, (B284) Hook Road, (A24) East Street, (A24) High Street, (A24) Ashley Road, (A24) Ashley Avenue, (A24) South Street, and (B280) West Street; (2) (B280) West Street, (A24) High Street, (A24) East Street, (B284) Hook Road, Horton Lane, (B280) Christ Church Road, (B280) West Hill, and (B280) West Street. This Order is required to facilitate steelwork and brickwork repairs for, or on behalf of Network Rail. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 4 nights, between the hours of 10pm and 6am, during the 18-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 07 April 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. Due to the nature of the works, there will be no access through the closure, and all traffic, including emergency service vehicles, will be required to use the signed diversion route.

Ruxley Lane Service Road For 122 To 134 (D2097) West Ewell

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Ruxley Lane Service Road For 122 To 134 (D2097) West Ewell which extends from its junction with Cox Lane (D2097) to its junction with Scott Close (D2373).

Alternative Route – Cox Lane (D2097), Ruxley Lane (B284), Fendall Road (D2160) and Ruxley Lane (D2097) or the same route in reverse.

This Order is required to allow ALS Civil to carry out electrical works, which is anticipated to be completed within 16 days, between 8:00am and 6:00pm and, 9:00am and 5:00pm for Scott Close (D2373), during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 17 April 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route including emergency vehicles and residents.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.1) 2025

On 26 March 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified and described in the Schedule to this Notice. This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate footway reconstruction works and/or footway slurry works and/or major maintenance works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 1 April 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route.

  1. the entire length of D2418 Upper Court Road, Epsom. Alternative Route – D2280 Manor Green Road, C195 Lower Green Road and D2216 Horton Hill;

  2. that length of D2209 Hogsmill Way, West Ewell which extends from its junction with Cox Lane to its junction with Bourne Way. Alternative Route – D2097 Cox Lane, D2364 Rowden Road, D2430 Watersedge and D2209 Hogsmill Way;

  3. the entire length of D2203 Heathcote Road, Epsom. Alternative Route 1 – B290 Ashley Road, D2129 Downs Hill Road, D2403 St Martins Avenue and D2128 Downside; Alternative Route 2 – B290 Ashley Road, A24 Ashley Avenue, A24 South Street, A24 High Street, B284 Church Street and D2462 Worple Road;

  4. that length of D2462 Worple Road, Epsom which extends from its junction with Church Street to its junction with Ashley Road. Alternative Route – B284 Church Street, B289 Downs Road, D2129 Downs Hill Road and B290 Ashley Road;

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 26 March 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit pedestrians and/or other traffic proceeding on foot or by any means from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Public Footpath No.2 (Epsom & Ewell), otherwise known as Townpath – Salisbury Road to Cudas Close (T6002) Worcester Park. This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate pre-patching and/or footway slurry works which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 6 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 1 April 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. No sole means of access to any premises will be affected. Alternative Route – D2372 Salisbury Road, D2102 Cuddington Avenue and T6087 Townpath (Cudas Close to Cuddington Avenue).
