What is happening?

NOTICE OF TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC ORDER

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14

FLINT

Flintshire County Council has made an Order which prohibits any vehicle from proceeding in Cornist Road, between its junctions with Halkyn Street and Old London Road, Flint, in the County of Flintshire.

The reason for the closure is to facilitate sewer connection installation to Section 50 Development Works with associated works by Willmott Dixon Construction Ltd.

The closure will be carried out as and when required and will be signed accordingly by the use of prescribed signs. Pedestrian access to premises will be maintained throughout the period of closure.

The Order comes into force on the 31st March 2025. It is anticipated that the road will only be closed for 2 weeks, or until the earlier completion of the works, subject to a maximum period of eighteen months.

EWLOE

Flintshire Council has made an Order which prohibits any vehicle from proceeding in B5125 Link from Holywell Road to Ewloe Roundabout, and B5125 from junction with B5125 Ewloe Roundabout and Old Aston Hill, Ewloe, in the County of Flintshire.

The reason for the closure is to facilitate gas mains replacement works with associated works by Wales and West Utilities.

The closure, available for inspection, will be signed accordingly by the use of prescribed signs. Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the period of closure.

The Order comes into force on the 31st March 2025. It is anticipated that the road will only be closed for 2 weeks, or until the earlier completion of the works, subject to a maximum period of eighteen months.

HAWARDEN

The Flintshire County Council hereby intends not sooner than 7 days from the 28 March 2025 to make an Order which will prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in Cross Tree Lane, between its junctions with B5125 Glynne Way and Gladstone Way, Hawarden in the County of Flintshire.

The reason for the closure is to facilitate gas mains replacement works with associated works by Wales and West Utilities.

The closure, available for inspection, will be signed accordingly by the use of prescribed signs. Pedestrian access to premises will be maintained throughout the period of closure.

It is anticipated that the road will only be closed from 14th April 2025, or as soon as possible thereafter. The road will only be closed for 2 weeks, or until the earlier completion of the works, subject to a maximum period of eighteen months.

The reason for the closure is to facilitate gas mains replacement with associated works by Wales and West Utilities.

The closure, available for inspection, will be signed accordingly by the use of prescribed signs. Pedestrian access to premises will be maintained throughout the period of closure.

It is anticipated that the road will only be closed from 14 April 2025, or as soon as possible thereafter. The road will only be closed for 2 weeks, or until the earlier completion of the works, subject to a maximum period of eighteen months.

(A5119 ABER ROAD AND VARIOUS ROADS IN PARC ABER PARK INDUSTRIAL ESTATE, FLINT) (30MPH SPEED LIMIT) (AMENDMENT NO. 08) ORDER 202-

Flintshire County Council propose to make an Order in exercise of its powers under Section 82 (2), 84 and 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Act and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to amend The Flintshire County Council (Various Roads) (20mph, 30mph, 40mph, 50mph and National Speed Limits. Restricted and Deregulated Roads) Order 2023, so as to impose:

A speed limit of 30mph on the:-

A5119 Aber Road Flint

From a point 135 metres north west of its junction with Earl Street, to its junction with the A548, Flint.

Parc Aber Park Industrial Estate, Flint

From its junction with the A5119 Aber Road, to the junction of Old London Road, Flint.

All other roads in the Parc Aber Park Industrial Estate, Flint

From its junction with the A5119 Aber Road, in a south westerly direction including the circular road.

The reason for the proposal is to impose a 30mph speed limit on the above roads.

If the Order is made, the present provisions of The Flintshire County Council (Various Roads) (20mph, 30mph, 40mph, 50mph and National Speed Limits. Restricted and Deregulated Roads) Order 2023 will remain in force.

A copy of the Notice, a proposed Order, Map Schedule showing the roads affected by the proposal and a statement of the Council's reasons for proposing to make the Order, may be inspected during normal opening hours at Flint Connects, Church Street, Flint, CH6 5BD, during office hours or they may be viewed on our website at www.Flintshire.gov.uk.

Any person wishing to object to the proposed Order should send a written objection to the undersigned by email to trafficregulation@flintshire.gov.uk or by writing to the address given below quoting reference SS/BJ/AB30mph/08 by the 25th April 2025.

This supersedes the previous proposal, which was advertised on the 15th November 2024.

From a point 25 metres north-east of its junction with Bro Alun to a point 85 metres from its junction with the A5119 at the Rhyd y Galed traffic signals, for a distance of 51 metres in a north easterly direction.

Raikes Lane, Mold:

From its junction with the A5119 King Street, to a point 51 metres south of its junction with the A5119 King Street.

The reason for the proposal is to make The Flintshire County Council A5119 Rhyd y Galed to King Street, Gwernaffield Road, Mold, Bryn Coch Lane, Mold and Raikes Lane, Mold 30mph Speed Limit Order 2023 permanent.

If the Order is made, the present provisions of The Flintshire County Council (Various Roads) (20mph, 30mph, 40mph, 50mph and National Speed Limits. Restricted and Deregulated Roads) Order 2023 will remain in force.

A copy of the Notice, proposed Order, Map Schedule showing the roads affected by the proposal and a statement of the Council's reasons for proposing to make the Order, may be inspected during normal opening hours at Mold Connects, Earl Road, Mold, CH7 1AB, during office hours or may be viewed on our website www.Flintshire.gov.uk.

Flintshire County Council propose to make an Order in exercise of its powers under Sections 82 (2) & (4) and 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Part of Schedule 9 to the Act and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to amend The Flintshire County Council (Various Roads) (20mph, 30mph, 40mph, 50mph and National Speed Limits. Restricted and Deregulated Roads) Order 2023, so as to impose:

A speed limit of 30mph on:-

B5444 Wrexham Road, Mold: from a point 17 metres south east of its junction with Bromfield Lane, to the A494 Bromfield Roundabout.

Maes Gwern, Mold: for its entire length.

Ffordd Nercwys, Mold: from its junction with the B5444 Wrexham Road, to a point 43 metres south of its junction with Maes Gwern, Mold.

The reason for the proposal is to impose a 30mph speed limit on the above roads.

All other respects the present provisions of The Flintshire County Council (Various Roads) (20mph, 30mph, 40mph, 50mph and National Speed Limits. Restricted and Deregulated Roads) Order 2023 will remain in force.
