Westmorland and Furness - Multiple Temporary Road Closures and Parking Restrictions due to Utility Works

WESTMORLAND AND FURNESS COUNCIL

(C5045 MAIN STREET, FLOOBURGH, A593 YEWDALE ROAD, CONISTON, B5286 LOW LOANTHWAITE, HAWKSHEAD & U5750 LAKE ROAD, WINDERMERE)

(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out (“the Works”), Westmorland and Furness Council has made an Order the effect of which is to:

Prohibit all traffic (i.e. vehicles, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists) from proceeding along that section of the C5045 Main Street, Flooburgh, from its junction with Ecclesfield Meadow, extending in a south easterly direction for a distance of approx. 100m.

There is no suitable alternative route available.

Duration: From 31st March 2025 for approx. 8 days (Ref: TTROW/13462)

Prohibit any vehicle from waiting at any time, on any day and/or from loading and unloading, at any time, on any day (including blue badge holders) along the following section of road A593 Yewdale Road (both sides), Coniston, from its junction with Collingwood Close extending in a south westerly direction to its junction with Hellens Court.

Duration: From 31st March 2025 for approx. 5 days (Ref: TTROW/13548)

Prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the following lengths of road:

B5286 Low Loanthwaite, Hawkshead, from its junction with the U5021, extending in a north easterly direction for a distance of approx. 225m.

Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the B5286, A593 and B5285.

Duration: From 17th April 2025 for approx. 1 night (Ref: TTROW/13665)

U5750 Lake Road, Windermere, from its junction with Brook Road, extending in a south westerly direction to its junction with Oldfield Road.

Alternative Route: via the unrestricted section of the Lake Road, Oak Street and Droomer Drive.

Duration: From 6th May 2025 for approx. 1 week (Ref: TTROW/13647)

The Order will come into operation on 31st March 2025 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required as detailed above, and only at such times as appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
