What is happening?

Notice Of Confirmation Of Public Path Order Highways Act 1980

The Nottinghamshire County Council (Misterton Footpath No.6 Diversion Order 2025)

On Wednesday 19th March 2025 the Nottinghamshire County Council confirmed the above order made under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980. 

The effect of the Order as confirmed is to divert part of Misterton Footpath No.6 commencing from a point, SK 7671 9477 at the junction of High Street between properties No.13 Elm Farm and No.15 and proceeding for a distance of approximately 84 metres in a generally northwesterly direction to a point SK 7670 9485 to a line running from a point, SK 7671 9477 at the junction of Misterton Footpath No. 6 between properties No.13 Elm Farm and No.15 and proceeding for a distance of approximately 121 metres in a north easterly, north westerly then westerly direction to a point SK 7670 9485 at the junction with Misterton Footpath No.6 having a varying width of 1.5 to 2 metres throughout on a mixed stone and grassed surface as shown on the displayed Map.

A copy of the Confirmed Order may be seen free of charge at my Office at the address below between the hours of 9.00 am and 4.30 pm Mondays to Fridays inclusive by prior appointment or can sent out by email on request Countryside. Access@nottscc.gov.uk

The documents will also be available to view at the offices at Bassetlaw District Council, Queen's Building, Potter Street, Worksop, Nottinghamshire. S80 2AH. 

Also a copy may be seen at Misterton Public Library, 31 High Street, Misterton, Doncaster, DN10 4BU during their respective normal opening hours until Saturday 10th May 2025. 

Any representations about or objections to the Order must be received by the Countryside Access Team at the address given below not later than Saturday 10th May 2025. 

Please state the grounds on which they are made. 

This Order comes into force on Wednesday 19th March 2025 but if any person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity or that of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act, as amended, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under Paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by Paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within 6 weeks from 22nd March 2025, make an application for the purpose to the High Court.
