Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders
Derby City Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit use of the roads by traffic.

Temporary Road Closure Order On Pear Tree Road, Derby
WHEN: 12 April 2025 to 17 April 2025 WHERE: Pear Tree Road, from its junction with Stanhope Street and Corden Street to its junction with Yates Street. A distance of approximately 50 metres. Access to business to be maintained. REASON: Culvert works ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Pear Tree Road – Dairy House Road – Douglas Street – Osmaston Road – Lara Croft Way – Normanton Road and the same in the opposite direction. 

Temporary One Way Road Closure Order On Woodland Road, Derby
WHEN: 14 April 2025 to 18 April 2025 WHERE: One-way outbound closure on Woodland Road, from its junction with Laburnum Crescent to its junction with Blenheim Drive. REASON: Telecom works ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Woodland Road – West Bank Road – Cornhill – Robincroft Road – Blenheim Drive.

WHEN: 25 April 2025 WHERE: Lynwood Road, at its junction with Moorside Crescent. REASON: Water works ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Lynwood Road – Moorside Crescent and the same in the opposite direction.

Temporary Road Closure Order On Chellaston Road, Derby
WHEN: 16 April 2025 to 26 April 2025 (Only 2 days within these dates) WHERE: Chellaston Road, from its junction with Merrill way and Boulton Lane to its junction with Shelton Drive. REASON: Carriageway works ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Derby Road – Swarkestone Road – Circumnavigate Bonnie Prince Roundabout – Infinity Park Way – Wilmore Road – Merrill Way and the same in the opposite direction. 

Temporary Road Closure Order On Mansfield Road, Derby
WHEN: 6th April 2025 and 26th April 2025 (Only Two Days) WHERE: Mansfield Road, from its junction with Porter Lane to its junction with Lime Lane. REASON: Carriageway works ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Derby Road – Swarkestone Road – Circumnavigate Bonnie Prince Roundabout – Infinity Park Way – Wilmore Road – Merrill Way and the same in the opposite direction.

Temporary Road Closure Order On Nottingham Road, Spondon, Derby
WHEN: 12th April 2025 and 30th April 2025 (Only Two days) WHERE: Nottingham Road, from its junction with Willowcroft Road to approximately 150 metres from Hobson Drive – Derby City boundary REASON: Carriageway works ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Nottingham Road – Brian Clough Way – Victoria Avenue and the same in the opposite direction.

Temporary Road Closure Order On Uttoxeter Road Derby
WHEN: 13 April 2025 and 27 April 2025 (Only Two days) WHERE: Phase 1: Uttoxeter Road, from its junction with Derby Royal Hospital Roundabout to its junction with Corden Avenue. Phase2: Uttoxeter Road, from its junction with Corden Avenue to its junction with Western Road. REASON: Carriageway works ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Phase 1: Uttoxeter New Road – Manor Road – Burton Road – Chain Lane – Corden Avenue and the same in the opposite direction. Phase2: Corden Avenue – Chain Lane – Pastures Hill – Haven Baulk Lane – The Hollow – Brierfield Way And the same in the opposite direction. 

Temporary Road Closure Order On Holbrook Road, Derby
WHEN: 15 April 2025 and 24 April 2025 (Only Two days) WHERE: Holbrook Road, from its junction with Field Lane to its junction with Crayford Road. REASON: Carriageway works ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Holbrook Road – Field Lane – Crayford Road and the same in the opposite direction.

Derby City Council has made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit use of the roads by traffic.

Temporary 30mph Speed Limit Reduction Order On Burton Road, Manor Road And Warwick Avenue, Derby
WHEN: 28 March 2025 to 01 June 2025 WHERE: Burton Road between numbers 429 and 423 A5111 Northbound from opposite 214a Warwick Avenue to opposite 141 Manor Road. A5111 Southbound from 141 Manor Road to 214a Warwick Avenue. 30mph Speed reduction for both sides of the highway. REASON: Signal works.

Temporary Road Closure Order On Canal Street, Derby
WHEN: 31 March 2025 to 02 April 2025 WHERE: Canal Street, from its junction with Castleward Boulevard and Park Street heading towards Siddals Road. A distance of approximately 20 metres. REASON: Carriageway works ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Canal Street – Siddals Road – Railway Terrace – Midland Road – Park Street and the same in the opposite direction.

Temporary Road Closure On Village Street, Derby
WHEN: 07 April 2025 to 18 April 2025 WHERE: Village Street, from its junction with Stenson Road to Fun Time Nursery. A distance of approximately 80 metres. REASON: Electrical works ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Village street – Kenilworth Avenue – Stenson Road and the same in the opposite direction.

Temporary One Way Road Closure Order On Edward Street, Derby
WHEN: 02 April 2025 to 04 April 2025 WHERE: Edward Street, inbound closure from its junction with Duffield Road to its junction with Henry Street. REASON: Electrical works ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Duffield Road – Belper Road – Milford Street – Arthur Street – Edward Street.

Temporary Footpath Closure Order On Grove Street Car Park Footpath, Derby
WHEN: 31 March 2025 to 07 April 2025 WHERE: Close footpath from Normanton Road, adjacent Church – linking Normanton Road to Alder Walk. REASON: Electrical works ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Normanton Road – Grove Street – Alder Walk and the same in the opposite direction.
